@Falanstery @Radfem_Notes In many places. Thankfully not everywhere, but the amount of places - in the US or otherwise - that offer no protections against hatred and discrimination, to the point of putting their lives in danger for simply existing, is horrifying.

I've heard people talk about how doctors have either turned them away or treated them harshly for being trans, and it's just for standard care. Transgender people can be discriminated against and isolated and there's no protection against it
