Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi suppress nitrification in soil - particularly the ammonia oxidizing bacteria. Very strong effect comparable with nitrification inhibitors. Almost no effect on the ammonium oxidizing archaea though. More here (OA): https://t.co/LjLZdtkcjG
Congrats to @KewMycology. 7 new genera, 10 subgen, and 5 sect. described as new to science... 5 subgen introduced as new combinations in a new rank... 41 section names and 514 species names combined in new genera and 4 lecto- and epitypes designated... https://t.co/t70bXNRgVw

Done with "Plant-fungal interactions in alpine ecosystems". The next big project is to get a new routine after the PhD... Thanks to @KewMycology @KewScience and @imperialcollege for this fantastic experience. ๐๐๏ธ
No more "statistically significant"
The R package "dabestr" is apparently the most comprehensive package for effect size analysis in R, and the original article (1-2 pages) in Nature Methods is worth reading: https://t.co/4WqUhDB90M
