@SusieM414141 Wow. I've never seen such a large herd of wild horses. Normally they are afraid of people and steer clear until nighttime when in a larger group. That's really special. We have had them come through our campground to get to water when in Arizona at night - and it is beautiful.
@mattvanswol Well, many people die suddenly. I believe someone wrote a book with that title? Let's wait to see what the autopsy says before finding a monster under the bed. Prayers for his family, friends and staff. That's always hard when you can't say goodbye.
This practice would explain why every time I have been the advocate for someone in my family, I sit down with their physician and discuss if that family member really needs all their meds - more than 1/2 are to combat side effects of some other drugs yet doctors never ask that question. I wish I was joking, but I'm not. (And yes we can ALWAYS reduce the meds - always. Sometimes by a lot, sometimes some have to be tapered down first, but the answer is always YES.) Asking what RX can we remove to make this person's body more at ease by not dealing with side effects, is never a question that is part of the routine. And it should be.
@ApexSeeker_ It's part of our Constitution. Which states that it is our God Given right to protect ourselves and to "keep and bear arms" which means have a gun.
Hi Sara, Yes 100% that is what we voted for. You didn't ask us why. So let me fill that in:
Go look at the data for the following questions:
When did the Dept of Ed start?
What were our reading, writing, math scores prior?
What are they now at a national level?
(way worse)
Have college classes had to rework their curriculum to make it easier or harder since the Dept of Ed started?
(Answer: professors are currently having students read PARTS of books instead of whole books because the students can't read or comprehend them. Don't believe me - go see what the Berkley and Stanford professor are doing - it's well documented.)
What actually works to help education succeed? As in children know civics, and can do math, reading, science and writing at their grade level?
(Answer: Local and state level decisions).
What states have increased their test scores, and more importantly the quality of their education?
(Answer: The ones that went back to the basics and mandated that at the state and local level.)
Extra bonus points: How much does the US spend on average per student? How much do other countries spend? What are their scores? What does that show you?
@Rainmaker1973 I think they can understand some of it. Whenever we are in Utah and come across grazing cattle who will then wander up to the truck window and hang out. Until my husband calls them lunch, and then they look at him and leave. Every time.
Can we all agree the real winner of the World Cup is the visiting fans?
The Tartan Army showed up in Boston, nearly emptied every bar in the city, somehow cleaned up after themselves, turned Miami bars into bagpipe concerts playing Avicii, and took every traffic cone in their way ๐คฃ
Norwegian fans took over a Cubs-Mets game because...why not?
England fans discovered line dancing and looked like they'd been waiting their entire lives to yell "YEEHAW."
Thousands of international fans are trying to sneak bottles of ranch through TSA like it's a priceless American artifact. ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
And watching people take their first bite of a Publix Chicken Tender Pub Sub has been better entertainment than half the matches.
This tournament has basically become one giant exchange program where America says, "Here's ranch, Publix, and baseball," and the rest of the world says, "Cool...we're borrowing your city for a week."
Honestly, I'm here for it.

I'm not sure where you were hanging out. Most of the places I have traveled - don't smell like that. In my current RV park there are 2 people who smoke pot in the pm for an hour. I just walk a street over to avoid it. However there are also skunks which smell like weed. So you have to learn the difference for self preservation. :)
This isn't new - they have wanted a social security number to activate phones for quite some time. The excuse is always drug dealers. But why should our God Given Rights be eroded because the government is lazy?
When I fled an abusive monster 500 miles away to North Carolina, an anonymous prepaid phone saved my life, literally..
It was my only shield.
Now the FCC wants to kill that lifeline for every survivor by forcing ID + a physical address just to buy a prepaid phone.
Payphones are gone. You need a number for jobs, housing, everything.
This is the slow death of privacy, from โfor the childrenโ ID checks to biometric iris scans and cameras on every corner.
Your 4th Amendment right โto be secure in your persons, houses, papers, and effectsโ is being erased 250 years later.
Every American Iโve met goes to sleep at 11pm and wakes up at 5am
Maybe this is why the USA has the best economy in the world - the work ethic is insane.
A U.S. Army soldier sprinted through Dallas Love Field Airport carrying a stranger's toddler so a desperate family could make their flight. ๐โโ๏ธ๐จFinal boarding call. Mom weighed down by luggage. In pure survival mode, she asked the uniformed soldier for help.
He didn't ask questions he just grabbed little River and ran. The internet tracked down the soldier (Daniel) to say thank you. This is what real character looks like. ๐ฆ
When we 1st were in Texas Apple Maps listed them as meat markets. And I kept thinking well I don't just need a butcher shop, so I ended up in some gross food stores until we figured out it wasn't just a meat market. HEBs are awesome. And some are as big as a Target with just as many options. (But better in my opinion. They have things in them that you can only get there. I am tempted to ask my sister to mail me some of the things it's that good. )
@jbumgar2@Jason2bartlett Oh that's too bad. That didn't use to be the case But I haven't been in a couple years. Not since someone bought them - maybe that's the difference? Publix always seemed overpriced and smaller with less choice.
