@eddiejillete@totalfilm Well the thing is the movie has to make money, and if it doesn't break even, then he should definitely care. Calling your audience all racist for having eyes and noticing they miscast 1/2 of the actors is a strange strategy.
@jokerdaddy23@IamSvented@totalfilm yeah, they sound ridiculous, I love when hollywood takes historical epics and period pieces from europe then makes the actors all black for some reason and then I love to defend hollywood when people with eyes notice.
@fleabagbee I think it's fair to not watch a movie if you can tell it's going to suck from the trailer. The trailer had spiderman saying "daddy" in it.
@lathsidd@mkanapaka@NolanAnalyst It's required reading in all public schools. The trans crap is an 80/20 issue, what are you babbling about. People know that 4'11'' women are not men.
@NolanAnalyst LOOOOL. Check out this review at the Mumbai Premiere "It was very sh*tty, 1/2 of the cast didn't remotely look Greek. They cast a 4'11'' girl as a soldier for some reason. They had people rapping for some reason. Probably the gaayest shit i've ever seen"
@nasaroffl@letscinema just so we are clear, the movie isn't out and these are hand picked industry reviews that are legacy friendly. Let's see how poorly it performs in theatres.
@Giggggg10@tommyswriting no, I think we are going to notice the annoying social/politically driven casting choices and comment about how it's dumb. Then not watch the movie as it's likely going to suck donkey balls. I haven't found a good movie yet that choice to attack it's audience for having eyes
@airbagged2077 Ian McKellen isn't actually a wizard, but he looks like one. A greek queen being played by a French woman would be fine because they look similar. This isn't about casting Greek actors, it's about casting illogical roles that destroy immersion.
