@jasonlamb That is a version of the Matrix where Neo loads every single program into his brain. It's great you understand six sigma and learned from Le Cordon Bleu, Neo, but we really just need epic weaponry and kung fu skills, thx. / annnnd scene.
@joanne_kehoe Ooh what a triumphant phrase to get right! If I hadn't had to face the word 'initiative' under the shaming light of spellcheck, and you asked me how many i's it has, I would never in my life say four. FOUR!? NEVER!!! I can only assume 'institutional initiatives' has ten thousand.
Words I still can’t spell correctly in the first shot a year after the pandemic hit my area: asynchronous, synchronous, priorities, initiative, liaison. I write these words 10 times a day. Incorrectly.
2 old friends, over the span of 2 days, asked for a link to songs I recorded and posted online in undergrad. I am thus currently riding an UNPRECEDENTED spike in fan stats! This is INCREDIBLE...and unfortunate, as those websites are with my highschool geocities in webheaven.
For the past few weeks I've been making increasingly elaborate lecture intros to help drum up student excitement for new lecture content. I may have gotten a little carried away for the final week... #loveactually#BIOL3P51#onlinelearning#brocku#edutwitter
We'll celebrate 50 years of teaching and learning stories at McMaster by inviting contributions to an edited collection that will reflect on McMaster’s 50+ year history of teaching innovation, and imagine the future of teaching and learning on campus. (4)

Today features a Past-Me/Future-Me triumph: I want to edit a website page. I just rediscovered that Past Me already drafted the edits in full. GLORIOUS. Mic drop. Can we call it a day? week? year? decade? No, but I'll ride this victorious high as long as I can.
Planning out some Indigenous reads and really appreciating @maclibraries existing collection - complete with many ebooks! Here's one I'm very eager to read: https://t.co/VyZJyMiR8p
@Cheriewoolmer @McMaster_MI @beth_marquis We will miss you terribly at MI! Thank you for all you’ve done for MI and McMaster. Your upcoming home base is incredibly lucky to have you!
Published! Seven principles for good practice in midterm student feedback - check out this #educationaldevelopment adaptation of Chickering & Gamson by yours truly, @krisknorr, @michelleogrod, and

Feeling so energized and inspired after meeting today with each Instructor participating in @McMaster_MI's inaugural Assessment Development Workshop! We are so lucky to have such dedicated and innovative instructors at Mac, including my incredible co-facilitator, @marychakk.
@Cheriewoolmer @kate_wall98 Thanks Cherie! I’m doing good. I’ve implemented useful routines and enjoyed all my time in the garden. I’m actually concerned how my new routines will be affected once we go back to normal bc I like them so much, lol! I look forward to seeing you on campus, hopefully before long!
@Cheriewoolmer @kate_wall98 When distancing began I felt immense relief bc it seemed increasingly scary to go out as usual. The relief didn't last too long & I launched into grief/fear. I think it makes sense kids 'relief' is longer (tho different: yay summer!). It means YOU'VE done a great job for them.

@BronwynSzabo Some recent faves are: The Fifth Season (and its two sequels) by N.K. Jemisin, Life Among the Qallunaat by Mini Aodla Freeman, Women Talking by Miriam Toews, The Nest by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney, & The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. LMK if you give any a try!
My 2020 reading goal is to read as many already-owned-but-unread paper books as I do digital books. It’s March 1st and I’m already losing this war...and I just added 30 ebooks/audiobooks to my library account wishlist. WHY do I do this to myself!?
