People tend to forget that this fanmeet was arranged by PondPhuwin themselves with the help of the fan base
It was announced not even 24 hrs before and MAT had already ended two weeks before that, yet that much fans came just to see PondPhuwin

It’s not favoritism. It’s momentum.

All the good work done in the past —both individual and couple works— have accumulated to bring them to where they are right now.

I myself am a new fan around when Me and Thee was airing. But by now, I have watched all of their series and caught up to their lore.

And I keep asking myself “how the hell didn’t I know them before? why only now did algorithm decide to put PPW fan edits on my socials?”

Honestly with fame, you never really know what would go viral next. That’s why PPW also keeps on saying “this momentum will not last forever; fans come and go; but let’s stay in each other’s orbit for as long as possible and enjoy our time together while it lasts”

With this kind of work, there are many factors at play. Sometimes, luck. Sometimes, it’s simply that it’s your time (to shine).

For PondPhuwin, it’s their time to shine. ✨

Yet even this momentum wasn’t so easy to attain. It took them 6 years after all…

And it wasn’t that their fandom blew up all of a sudden. It’s that their hard work throughout the years paved the way for them to reach this pinnacle.

Anyone can go viral today and be forgotten tomorrow.

But to be able to retain people who come across you and turn them into fans—that’s not a product of favoritism nor moments of virality.

You’d have to be talented and inherently lovable—which, PPW are.

In my journey as a new fan, I came to love MorkPi, PalmNeung, and PhumPeem. As a CP, I love their dynamics. I love that they don’t really give fanservice, yet the way they look at each other with eyes full of adoration and love is already enough to make us swoon and go crazy. I love that they’re so different yet complement and complete each other.

As they said repeatedly in interviews, their philosophy about work is basically to focus on producing good work. Fan reception is out of their control. What matters is that they like and can be proud of what they put out as artists.

So their success right now is not because they are GMM favorite. Heck, what is the standard to be called a favorite? (This should be a whole different discourse!)

Imo, GMM is doing a lousy job at promoting their artists and their works in general. How many artists or series are destined to be loved by someone—just like me—the only problem is that they haven’t come across it yet?

So in conclusion: do not discredit PPW success by labelling them as company favorites or any whatever reasons.

PPW success is simply because they are PondPhuwin that many people came to love and adore~~~ 🐻🐼🤟
