@joe_hill@neilhimself Everyone dragging Neil for a log of heinous stuff but no one deservedly dragging him for that horror travesty Biffy the Umpire Player, that one about the high school jock who was a football player AND an umpire.
@neilhimself @BeautifulOmens @neilhimself, this is part of the grace I relish in the bonhamie between Aziraphale and Crowley. It's beyond their genders (Fallen Angel and Angel (Retired), or whatever...) Thanks you! (-: (-:
@neilhimself @BeautifulOmens there might be a flow of simple, unregulated friendliness between them, and such flows were one of Finny's reasons for living.
In this light, you could see how and why the Trump campaign might provoke hiding. How: "Don't trust pollsters, they're media propagandists !" Why: your constituency is likely to turn out, but the opposition might not be. Don't give opposition high poll numbers to react against.
@NateSilver538, it's unfortunate that notions of Trump voters hidden from polls are framed in terms of "shy Trump voters". Instead, think about them as "indignant Trump voters". Even "contemptuous Trump voters"! Lump pollsters with journalists and you can see how it could happen.
@chrismcdonough This is probably the cardinal rule of sophisticated exposition. The hallmark of a juvenile theatrical writer is resorting to telling people how to feel about the story they're telling. They don't know what's crucial, what moves people on its own.
