Focusing on what real staffing looks like and putting the spotlight on safe RN to patient ratios in in-patient care across the UK. Social care to follow...
@The_Pars @SocialistHB@theRCN@bjgw My understanding is that if the resolution is passed Council ask for the work up of the issue and then make a decision.
@jim_crawfurd IV therapy isn’t a GMC issue. that’s about practice and only
medical practice. In fact any indy prescriber can in most cases RX fluids. The issue i’d say is more a MHRA issue. but maybe wrong
A vacancy has arisen on the @RCollEM Research Committee for a nursing representative. Please come and join the committee and help build and disseminate research funding, champion EM research and help to make research part of usual clinical care. https://t.co/HoHGBki2L8
@theRCN the purpose of MySafeStaffing was to exactly gather that evidence but did not get @theRCN support. It could still be used and map where there are hot spots
This is really important. The data is slim and the evaluations very small. We are headlong into this policy from a slim understanding of the impact. If you have numbers or info please contact Prof Leary Thanks
@OllieCoburnGSR @KateBurkeNHS you’re thinking it’s a national health service. That’s a brand and funding mechanism. The NHS in reality a franchise and each organisation is legally different to each other therefore needing to do its own policies. Cuckoo indeed but the main reason.
@Liz_ORiordan This is click bait which NS has become accustomed to recently. Total rubbish and as long as people get help and that they are capable to do their job as agees then there is no reason why people need additional screening over OH if that’s necessary
@CNOEngland The question not being asked is, are the Medical Director and Director of Nursing being investigated by their respective regulatory bodies? if not, why not? @ruth
@alisonleary1 If the info is already in the EPR then tightly why is it being asked for again? The issue is I think it’s locked in and not either visible or retractable. Reporting needs to be designed into workflows to enable clinical teams get the information they need back out.
@alisonleary1@maxwele2 @AdvClin @ShaunLintern@shiv_smith@theRCN@ProfRecordSB if you’ve seen NHs Englands Nursing documentation standards you’d want to cry they’re terrible. It’s not a set of standards in what standards are and should be more a compendium of existing reference material.
