Data centers are not the primary cause of this issue. In fact, the amount of water all 21 data centers will use annually is so small by comparison that you’d consider it a rounding error.

According to official New Mexico water-use data, agriculture accounts for approximately 78% of the state’s total water withdrawals, which amount to around 977 billion gallons annually.

In comparison, data-center consumption is negligible.

The total number of data centers, including both existing and planned facilities, is 21. They will withdraw less than 0.2% of New Mexico’s overall water annually.

What this looks like:

Anything you can’t ship natively, offer add-on tools or skills. E.g., a skill for Copilot to use in Excel, Word, etc.

First, your MVP must prioritize your MCP’s ease of accessibility.

Then extend what’s possible for users at these locations:
