@MadhilSaleem@ahmmadhu@the_1slander Difference is u get the same rights anywhere u go in US irrespective of birthplace. U dont have DC registered or NYC registered who get priority over everyone else. Freedom of movement is not restricted. Where u settle is a choice. Get nuvaneetha noony vaan beynun nuvaneetha
@aiksh_aysh @FSaaira @villaa386@Ibrahimshiyaz1 Lol. I meant I have read the thread and u haven't explained anywhere how u can compare an island/province of the same country with that of another country. Is Male' a separate country or even a state in country where there's equitable revenue sharing? I am confused
@aiksh_aysh @FSaaira @villaa386@Ibrahimshiyaz1 Hama asluves understand nuvanytha thi dhekkeny ehen gaumegge vaahaka Kan. Male' is part of Maldives, not another freaking country!
@LitmusTimes @RajjethereRT @presidencymv Well Yameen also made that mistake. Enmenah vazeefa bahaafa, projects in bai alhaafa heekuree hithah aihaa gothakah meehun jalah laa aniyaa kuriyas Alun hoveyne kamah
@Sinhawth@haesham Lol. There's no economy w/o ppl. When ppl leave, rents go down the housing market will collapse & so will BML. What then? Sure, resorts will continue to thrive but what happens to the local businesses?
@havitsman Talking abt historical injustices β hate. Both sides have Adils.
Calling to end discrimination among residents based on island of origin β exclusion of MM.
What u propose has no real incentives and is applied to illegal immigrants in developed countries!
@havitsman I identify as a Maldivian.
Again, if land remains a birthright of original inhabitants, wouldn't that stand in the way of creating more urban centers? Without pop. consolidation dev. won't work & y would anyone move knowing they'll have to rent or buy while others get it for free
@havitsman I'm from South & my partner from North & I've observed slight differences due to simple reasons such as size of community & exposure to outside world
Whatever historical diff between communities have long since vanished or become part of a common culture. There's no going back
@RiseRTpresident Can somebody pls tell this guy that the land reclamation project in addu is for tourism and not a housing project. So who benefits from this land depends entirely on the govt and I bet it won't just b ppl registered at addu addresses.
@havitsman I have 1 question for u, how can u convince everyone to come tgether to develop other islands knowing that the 'ravvehin' will be given priority in accessing land/housing. Wouldn't that make everyone want to develop their own island? How much can u do for an island of 500?
