I've been afraid to talk about or show receipts for the stuff I went through for so long. The women at Act-Blizz are giving me courage to turn on the lights regarding my own history in the industry. Heck, posting publicly about it right now is terrifying. My hands are shaking.
I've said it before a million times and I will say it again:
There are way cheaper alternatives to Wacom that do the same exact job, if not more. Huion and Xp-pen are two of the best. There's Gaomon and Monoprice, just to name two more. There's literally no reason to pay more.
Know there’s a *lot* going on today but I am on Blizzard Way at the employee walkout. The state of CA is suing Activision Blizzard for a pattern of pay/gender discrimination and sexual harassment. Employees found company’s response to the lawsuit “abhorrent.”
Some Respawn developers are participating in the #ActiBlizzWalkout today in solidarity with their colleagues and friends at Activision Blizzard.
Developers from Activision Blizzard are staging a walkout in protest of the leadership and treatment of employees, particularly women.
I've been an Activision employee for the past 11 years. Today I will take part in the #ActiBlizzWalkout with many of my colleagues. I support and believe every single one of you, every voice matters. 💙💙💙
you think i've never thought about quitting? abandoning everything? or just straight up dying?
every piece i do is the biggest "fuck you" you can imagine. working in esports IS my protest. i'm not going to let anyone push me out of this space. i want to keep fighting.
thanks.
Thank you, everyone, for all the support today as we #ActiBlizzWalkout. It really means a lot. 💙
Please share your support with the hashtag, emoji, sharing our demands below, and donating to the charities below.
We want Blizzard to be an awesome place to work, for everyone. 💙
Nearly 500 current and former Ubisoft workers from 32 studios have signed an open letter in solidarity with Activision Blizzard workers -- and calling out Ubisoft management for its handling of its misconduct scandals over the past year. https://t.co/ZfwV239chc
A little workflow glimpse. 👀
I always start with a 2D walk cycle. Once I get the animation I like I use the camera trick with layer style stroke to get my isometric angle right (or any angle). After that it's all about getting the details right (frame by frame). #aftereffects
@JamesIntrocaso Me, a wizard and a friend, a warlock, would make every battle a zone spell bonanza. Grease, warlock angry tentacles, sanctuary, a lot you can do overlapping multiple zone spells to unsuspecting baddies.
@KiethLion Very true. Main reason I hold Saints Row 3 in the highest creativity category for the GTA genre. That game was nuts and lots of creative costumes.
Here’s a question:
In the GTA genre, including GTA, why is fashion always so boring, pedestrian, expected?
Where’s the wild whimsy? Where’s the costume shops?
@Most Hi,
Bi, narrative game designer here.
Wow… just wow. Is this the show? The trailer that’s supposed to put the best elevator pitch in front of the audience?
There seems not to be any depth. It’s just bad shallow stereotype tropes where “gay”= hyper-sexualization.
Big yikes.
