@wx1box From the Cranberry Bog in Carlisle looking west. Only just visible to naked eye. Moon a definite issue. Probably a dozen people hanging out in the cold.
Just saw Suzanne Vega @GrotonHillMusic -- great show in a beautiful location. First saw her in 1990 in Cambridge, UK. Next in Concord, NH in 2010, and now again in 2024. Never gets old.
@suzyv -- Thanks for the show! Really enjoyed it.
@constans@john_dough@ssteingraber1 To evaporate 20 gallons of water takes around 150MJ. It takes (say) 10 seconds for the query to complete, implying a power draw of 15MW for each individual query.
I knew that NVIDIA GPUs used a lot of power, but this is ridiculous (incorrect by ~4 orders of magnitude).
@marcorandazza I got my wife the wrong type of muffin just after she gave birth. I'm still being reminded of this sin a quarter of a century later.

@Cryptoki What date was this generated? I get rather different answers with only 99 in the middle, but with rather more in the "3 cert store" ring (37). But yes, Microsoft is the outlier.
Visited @romanpalace today. Well worth it. Similar vibes to visiting the terracotta warriors.
Last visited Fishbourne in ~1970 as a young kid -- I appreciated it more today...
Safari 18 is broken when using #PSKReporter -- but I have now added a workaround. It turns out that the following line is the root cause:
ctx = canvasStoreInfo.canvas.getContext('2d', { willReadFrequently: true });
It is the willReadFrequently: true
Any comment @AppleSupport?
@matthew_d_green Something like this could be used to do a bit of prototyping -- 2 wireless lapel mics into a phone for under $5.

@CrowdStrike I didn't see the elephant in the room being addressed:
Does Crowdstrike push any changes to production without testing them locally to ensure *correct* operation?
@NikonUSA I want to get the images on my Z6II geotagged (on the camera). The snapbridge app only transmits GPS data when it is in the foreground. This makes it useless. Appears that app does not request ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION permission: https://t.co/15Y1dU4hrL
Please fix!
So... I was at it again at #bitsightTRACE, on everyone's currently favorite hot topic: CrowdStrike! But this time I'm afraid I have more questions than answers.
Take a dive at network analysis with me and tell me what you think!

@Scott_Helme And if you read the linked thread, you will discover that they lied -- item 1 about Air Traffic Control is untrue -- in fact that CA explicitly does not issue certificates for Aviation flight and control systems. https://t.co/hikv9TLT8L
I shouldn't have doubted them. I got my ballot form today! Unfortunately I don't have a time machine to get it back in time.
On the plus side, my vote wouldn't have made any difference!
I'm happy that the UK now allows me to vote in elections even though I don't reside in the UK any more. However, actually getting me a ballot in a timely fashion (or at all) seems beyond them! #GE2024
@shaws Thanks for this. It implies that the unit price area is not a calculated field, but is entered separately. Wow!
It has always amused me that the unit price for air fresheners was in $ per gallon. I hope *never* to need a gallon of air freshener!
There are so many prices on this label and I don't understand how they relate to each other. $1.41 / $1.69 / $1.50 / $1.25 each? What is 38ยข the price difference between? @shaws
