For anyone who knows me that comes across this profile, this is for my course EDUC307 DM me for my real twitter, I don't think you'll enjoy my posts on here lol
I'm glad that this semester is coming to an end, but weirdly enough I enjoyed using social medias as a learning platform, I even found myself procrastinating on my course twitter account #crazy
At the beginning of the semester, I didn't even know how twitter worked, I am glad I took this course as I now might use social media to teach my future students
@marymagic131313@emily_newell96@emily_haim yes, but I feel like a positive ending should make sense and fit with the story (and in children movies, the ending is quite cheesy and cliché most of the time)
"It's racist, but hey! It's Disney" I personally believe that "it's Disney" should be an extra reason for people to create non-racist content! Disney is meant for children, let's teach them how to counter racism instead
@StavroulaTatsis that's true, but I feel like the news also filters the content according to what their viewers would enjoy or what the public would understand without having to explain too much since they have a limited amount of time
I feel like we know much more what's going on in other countries when seeing raw, uncut Youtube video from a victim's point of view then when we watch the news on TV, because we now see exactly what's going on
Have you heard of Arab Spring before #lesson12? Where have you heard from it? I heard from it in school, and my professor kept sending us links to social medias talking about it, but I never really heard important information about it in the news.
@Caro_EDUC307 I am shocked to learn that many people are only discovering this, the instructor of this course are doing a better job than the news lol!
With social media and mass collaboration, as well as critical thinking we can find much more information on what's going on in a country, then while watching the news
