Excited to share new research! Our team, including @sonomatech, @syracuse, @usepa, and Kevin Horn, used a new #machinelearning approach to characterize the impact of air pollution on tree species and quantify the uncertainty of these relationships. https://t.co/WkCf65oAHm
OpenAQ is excited to support the #DataHelpDesk during #AGU22 (Dec 12-15). Drop by and say hello Monday 17:00-18:00 and Wednesday 12:00-14:00. https://t.co/iUqrMsQFI9
Will you be at #AGU22? OpenAQ's @chagerba and @colleenesterase are headed to Chicago too. We'll be at the #DataHelpDesk 12/12 17:00-18:00 and 12/14 12:00-14:00. Drop by to learn more about FAIR and open data!
#airpollution is the no.2 leading cause of premature death, yet only 0.1% of philanthropic funding goes to funding #cleanair. This #GivingTuesday2022, let’s show that we believe in funding AQ organizations! https://t.co/MiChmftUWD
⏰Mark your calendars for our Implementation Working Group session next Tuesday, 22 Nov, 2022 at 2pm EST / 3pm Argentina time! In line with our theme for the month, we'll be joined by
🔹Namrata Mehta, Innovation Unit of UN-Habitat
🔹Chris Hagerbaumer, @OpenAQ who will discuss:
Headed to Knoxville this week to @NADProgram’s 2022 Annual Meeting. I’m excited to share new applications of our machine learning methods to ozone and to spatial variability of N deposition sensitivity. https://t.co/WkCf65p8wU
I’m always looking for more #geospatial podcasts, especially with the hold on @eoscenefrom (though a revival is apparently in the works!) Excited to check out the new Minds Behind Maps podcast!
assigned your podcast again this week to my students (my intro to SAR week) @MaxLenormand- the @mouthofmorrison episode- and a student came up and told me how much they dug it today. thanks for inspiring future generations :) great content you are making https://t.co/oASyA4nX8L
EMIT, @NASA's dust detector, has revealed an unexpected capability: detecting methane, a potent greenhouse gas. Its data identified more than 50 “super-emitters,” sources that emit methane at high rates. More on how this may help address climate change: https://t.co/I672gGI0HD
Sonoma Technology recently worked with @TheICCT to analyze benefits of adopting California medium- and heavy-duty vehicle regulations. Modeling by Jeff Houk & Joey Huang shows adoption of key regulations could reduce #GHG and #airpollution emissions. https://t.co/9yLWBo6vSd
Check out our new paper! Perceived stress and neighborhood burden modify the association and sensitive window of air pollution exposure with birthweight.

Simply using the median value for impacts derived from the data doesn't tell the whole story. The uncertainty in our results is relevant to decision making and air quality standards.
