@CM147143 @Jaquerie2 @SpiritofHo The treaty also prevented Russia from occupying Ukraine, as Russia also can't keep missiles within the EU range. The INF treaty had ended the Cold War. US withdrew from that treaty in 2019, simultaneously supporting Ukraine in joining the NATO. After which Russia started the war.

@CM147143 @Jaquerie2 @SpiritofHo The INF treaty details that US or NATO forces can not keep a missile system capable of targeting Russia (like Russia can not keep in CUBA). While it's not explicitly mentioned, Ukraine joining NATO would mean that the missile system exists in that range.
