Videos of non-state actors "enforcing" their jungle law on South African streets have been circulating for so long. These actors were proud of their "law enforcement" and actually recorded it. You and your government were spectators. It is a sign that you were absent or too scared to face the backlash should you act against South Africans breaking the law. It doesn't matter how valid grievances are, NO STATE should quietly watch a parallel state emerge, with non-state actors deciding who belongs snd who doesn't, who must live or die. We spoke about the systemic rape of Palestinian detainees. Everyone is talking about Nicholas Kristof's report but there were MANY before it, including Albanese's one in March. Forensics, footage, survivor statements etc.

Before you make a noise about the article that followed rehashing Hamas mass rapes, it was based on an unverified and unpublished report. It is widely believed that Israeli intel knew Kristoff's piece was coming and quickly influenced publication of a different article, which mainstream international media quickly published without the same burden of verification placed on Kristoff's piece.

We also talked about the US sanctions against her, with a US court has just suspended because they were based on lies and malice. I hope @NelsonMandela Foundation feels strong and energized. They were harassed for daring to invite @FranceskAlbs to give the Annual Lecture. It is GOOD to stand for justice, truth and accountability.

Fransesca reminded me of her parting words to me at the Nelson Mandela Lecture "We shall dance again." Today she added "I couldn't even hug you in the end." One day I'll tell you why.

But for now, this is where we are. Sanctions suspended. She can use her credit card again.

NEW | AJ+ investigation says Israeli military medics trained on donated bodies from U.S. universities without consent

An investigation by AJ+ revealed that bodies donated for medical research at two U.S. universities were reportedly used in training programs involving Israeli military medics without donors or their families being informed.

According to the report, the bodies were supplied through contracts linked to the U.S. Navy and used in battlefield medical training for Israeli personnel, raising major ethical concerns over transparency and consent.

Family members interviewed in the investigation said they were shocked to discover their relatives’ bodies had been used in programs connected to the Israeli military amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
