I wish that more co-working spaces would act as a social glue and enable easy connections and collaborations. Because freelancers, solopreneurs and remote workers are not lacking an office space. We are lacking the social benefits of working in an office.

Co-working spaces have been a boon for people like me who work remotely. They help me break the monotony of my week and get into my work zone and get some focused work done away from distractions. But they are missing out on a big opportunity to build a community.

It was the coziness of that co-working space that encouraged the girl sitting next to me to start a conversation with me (about the cleanliness of the washroom). Which got us talking about our work and set up other co-working dates in the future.
