Several days ago, I received a threatening letter informing me that I am "moving up on 'the List," and that I am "fucked."

The letter calls me a "kapo," indicating its authorship by a Zionist fanatic, possibly affiliated with an outfit like JDL Brotherhood 613, or from Betar dead-enders who advocate violence against perceived enemies of Israel.

I opened this letter as Israel-backed Trump admin allies like Laura Loomer portrayed me as a national security threat and demanded my persecution for reporting from Iran, and as the Trump admin harassed me by illegally seizing my phones.

I am not the only person to have received these letters. Howard Heath, a state representative in New Hampshire who is campaigning for Congress on a pledge to cut off military aid to Israel, also reported receiving a letter from the same "Yoor Dedmeet."

The return address applied to the letter is the field office of Rep. Rashida Tlaib, the only Palestinian member of Congress. To me, this indicates that she and her staff could also be targets of whichever malicious individual or group sent the letter.

I have filed a report with local police and informed the US Postal Service Inspector of this threatening letter.

⭕️ Sixteen Palestinian doctors held in Israeli torture prisons, rights group says

16 Palestinian doctors are being held in Israeli prisons in isolation, denied family visits, and subjected to starvation, medical neglect and torture, the Palestinian Center for Prisoners Advocacy said, calling it retaliation against medical staff who stayed at their posts during the war on Gaza.

The group highlighted the cases of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, who has faced abuse, isolation and threats, and Dr. Marwan al-Hams, who has been denied medication and family contact as his health deteriorates. It also noted that the whereabouts of some doctors are deliberately concealed.

🚨Israeli forces have killed at least 14 Palestinians and wounded 37 others across Gaza on Friday morning, Al Jazeera reported. Among the attacks documented:

🔹Israeli forces killed at least 8 Palestinians and wounded 20 others after firing two rockets at a funeral procession in Nuseirat refugee camp for a person killed earlier Friday morning, Al Jazeera reported, citing Al-Awda Hospital. Horrific footage shows bodies strewn across the street in pools of blood.

🔹Amani Ibrahim Abu Jazar, 49, was killed by Israeli military gunfire southwest of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

🔹Inaam Abdullah al-Attar, 52, was killed when an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped a bomb near the Abu Tammam school in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza.

🔹Taher Abdul Wahid was killed in a strike on the Sawarha area, west of Nuseirat.

🔹Mohammed Tayseer Obaid was killed when an Israeli strike hit a residential apartment near the Taj Mall in Gaza City.

▪️In Khan Younis, a woman was critically wounded by Israeli gunfire in the Kunayyis area southwest of the city.

▪️Others were wounded in strikes on a tent on Nakhil Street west of Deir al-Balah, on a group of people northwest of Nuseirat, and near the Shaabiya roundabout east of Gaza City, Felesteen Online reported.

Israeli forces also carried out demolitions and heavy tank fire east of Khan Younis, shelled western Rafah, and pushed armored vehicles into the Trans area of Jabalia in northern Gaza amid intense gunfire, according to the outlet.

لم يكتفِ الاحتلال الإسرائيلي باستهداف المستشفيات وتدمير غرف العمليات وقصف سيارات الإسعاف وقتل الأطباء أثناء أداء واجبهم الإنساني، بل امتدت جرائمه إلى ملاحقة من نجا منهم خلف القضبان، وكأن ارتداء المعطف الأبيض أصبح تهمة تستوجب العقاب.
اليوم يقف الطبيب الأسير د. مروان الهمص في مواجهة خطر حقيقي يهدد حياته داخل سجون الاحتلال، بعد أشهر من الحرمان المتعمد من دواء القلب، والتجويع، والعزل الانفرادي، ومنع التواصل مع عائلته، في انتهاك صارخ لكل القوانين والاتفاقيات الدولية التي تكفل حماية الأسرى والكوادر الطبية أثناء النزاعات المسلحة.
لقد فقد الدكتور مروان الهمص نحو 20 كيلوغراماً من وزنه منذ اعتقاله، وانخفض وزنه إلى ما يقارب 69 كيلوغراماً، بينما تستمر سياسة الحرمان الطبي والإهمال المتعمد التي تحولت في كثير من الحالات إلى أداة قتل بطيء داخل السجون.
ولم يكن اختطافه سوى فصل جديد من استهداف المنظومة الصحية الفلسطينية، إذ جرى اعتقاله مع ابنته الممرضة تسنيم الهمص أثناء توجههما لأداء مهمة طبية قرب المستشفى الميداني التابع للجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر في منطقة المواصي، في مشهد يلخص حجم الانتهاك الذي طال حتى أولئك الذين حملوا رسالتهم الإنسانية بعيداً عن أي اعتبار سياسي أو عسكري.
خضع د. مروان الهمص لتحقيقات قاسية استمرت 43 يوماً متواصلة، بما يقارب ألف ساعة من الضغط النفسي والجسدي والاستنزاف، في محاولة لكسر إرادة طبيب اختار أن يكون إلى جانب مرضاه وجرحاه في أصعب اللحظات التي مرت بها غزة.
وما يتعرض له د. مروان الهمص ليس حالة استثنائية، بل يأتي ضمن سياسة ممنهجة استهدفت الكوادر الطبية الفلسطينية، من الشهيد الطبيب د. إياد الرنتيسي الذي قضى تحت التعذيب، إلى الطبيب الأسير د. حسام أبو صفية الذي تتوالى التحذيرات بشأن تدهور وضعه الصحي، وصولاً إلى عشرات الأطباء والمسعفين الذين ما زالوا خلف القضبان أو تحت التهديد المستمر.
إن استهداف الأطباء ليس استهدافاً لأشخاص فحسب، بل هو استهداف لحق شعب بأكمله في العلاج والحياة والكرامة الإنسانية.
الحرية للدكتور مروان الهمص، والحرية لجميع الأطباء والكوادر الصحية المعتقلين، فالأطباء الذين أفنوا أعمارهم في إنقاذ الأرواح لا يجوز أن يُتركوا وحدهم في مواجهة المرض والتعذيب والعزل خلف القضبان..

Palestinian lawyer Khaled Mujaheneh has revealed horrifying details about the conditions endured by detainees from the Gaza Strip at the "Sde Teiman" detention facility, including extrajudicial executions, limb amputations without anesthesia, and killings.

In a press interview, he stated that thousands of Palestinian men, women, and children are being held in this detention center, which was established after the war, where the most brutal methods of torture and abuse are being practiced.

Citing imprisoned Gazan journalist Mohammad Arab, he added: "Each prisoner is confined to a marked area from which they cannot move; they sit, sleep, pray, and are even tortured there while bound and blindfolded." The prisoner also spoke of detainees having their limbs amputated without anesthesia, and of some being forced to watch others being executed — including children, women, and young girls. Mujaheneh further emphasized that "400 Palestinians from Gaza will effectively be executed within a few months, because the world has not acted against this Israeli conduct, which violates international law."
