Recently on Barometer Hon.Kyeyune used the same word and it was really derogatory.Many people think using the term “Deaf”(Kigala) for those that have a hearing loss is rude, it is not. The term hearing impaired is considered rude, some say it makes it sound like they are “broken”

Kasiru means Stupid, Being Deaf doesn’t mean that I am Stupid, I go to school like the hearing do, I read and write like the hearing do, I can dance, play etc the only difference is I can’t hear.
