Although #AI technologies can be challenging to deploy, they have the potential to provide innovative solutions for surgical care delivery in remote regions and low-income countries.

@emily_fri Yes! It varies a bit by service - but on many of our teams our workflow is:
- chart check and pend notes
- residents preround (notes and some orders are signed as we go)
- pre-op first cases
- round with attendings
- OR and other tasks (consults)
And most of this before 8am ๐
@choirgirl181@bridget__marc Honestly - just be kind. It means a lot when we know the people we're working with see us and all we're trying to manage. Understand that if we're not helping with something, it's not bc we think we're too good - we're probably trying to finish 10 other things between cases.
The RASACS Community proudly announces Dr. Hussein as the new Global Surgery Committee Secretary. @nadiahussein hails from @SurgeryInova residency. We look forward to their contributions throughout the upcoming year!
@RyanMarino Omg why didn't we think of just telling our septic/metastatic cancer/hemorrhagic shock patients to go for a run and eat a salad??? Incredible. Let's trade out the ICU for a track and a sweetgreen.
@united what is going on with your website/app? tried 3x booking my flights and got error messages - then went for support and it says chat agents are unavailable...
@JuliaNEM33 My program did 3 weeks of orientation (paid) and I kinda liked it - time to bond with my cointerns before we were split across services, ATLS, intern boot camp, a few days shadowing on the service before taking on responsibility.
This is what health insurance companies do. They find a commonly performed procedure costing them money, cover it with red tape, then attribute their actions to physician greed. Aetna did it with cataract surgery last year. This is just the beginning. https://t.co/D48eUGN6Pa
