Congratulations to long-term UNISON activist Sharon Foster on receiving the 2025 Nelson Mandela Award at the @unisontheunion #UBMC25 yesterday. Sharon has worked in public services for four decades and has been an active champion of equality, inclusion and diversity. 👏👏👏

Today at #UBMC25 it was an honour to hear Guest Speaker @KimJohnsonMP address @unisontheunion delegates. This was a great speech where Kim talked about the social and political challenges facing our communities and Black Members. Thank you Kim for your continued support.

It was great to hear Councillor Mohammed Asaduzzaman the current Mayor of Brighton & Hove address delegates at #UBMC25 yesterday. Well done to Councillor Asaduzzaman on his political achievements and being elected last year in May 2024.

Yesterday (13/12/24) I and @UnisonLeicsPol said farewell to our @UNISONEastMids Regional Organiser Rachel Hancorn who is retiring. Rachel became our RO 9 years ago, she has been amazing and dedicated. We will miss her, thank you Rachel for everything. Enjoy your retirement. 👏

Yesterday I met Steve North President @unisontheunion whilst travelling home from the UNISON Police, Probation & CAFCASS Conference in Llandudno. We had a really good conversation on a range of UNISON topics. Nice talking to you @steviecnorth & hopefully we can meet up again.
