Everyone has an inner child and that child needs check-ins. There is a recent trend called “coffee with my younger self,” where people offer advice to a younger version of themselves. I decided to try my hand at it. Enjoy!

I wish our mothers shared their experiences and thoughts with their sons as much as they shared them with us. The disconnect is ridiculous at this point because it’s almost like they shielded their sons from these things and downloaded everything for their daughters.
I have so much respect for women who are advocates. To me, choosing to become the face of a cause is one of the bravest things a woman can do. We weren’t raised to speak loudly about what matters to us. So when I see a woman intentionally lending her voice to something she believes in, I know it didn’t come easy. It takes conviction, and I admire that deeply. I really do.
That’s why I try to approach children with curiosity before judgment. Sometimes the child everyone has given up on is simply a child who hasn’t been understood yet.
I’ve held the same stance on NYSC since 2014. And in 2016 when Kuti literary and debating society gave me my first ever debate topic in UI. I argued then that the scheme should be scrapped. I am still convinced it should be scrapped.
Maybe it should have been reformed in 1999. Not 2026. It shouldn’t exist in 2026.
One of my micro feminism is to make sure women who visits me don't do anything 🤭
One time my husband wanted to complain about one of his family friend (lady) that visited us and does nothing
I asked him that if she was a man, will he expect him to do anything for the less than 14days she is staying - let's just say we never raised that matter again
Women are not natural cleaners and workers or cooks, if someone visits me, I expect them to act like the guest they are and relax
Gosh, this is 2026
