#WATCH | Indonesia: At a community event in Jakarta, President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto says, "I don't want to be involved in domestic Indian politics. I'm a friend of all Indians but I want to admit one thing and my close associates and colleagues will testify that I am a great admirer of Narendra Modi ji. I'm not a professional politician. The proof that I'm not a professional politician is I took part in five general elections. I lost four times... Even before I became president, I studied the policies of prime minister (Narendra Modi) and because there are no copyright, I copied many of his policies. But, Prime Minister Modi graciously, allowed me to copy his policies. So I cannot be sued in any court..."
He also says, "Indonesians must learn from the experience of India. Our civilization, our culture are strongly influenced by Indian civilization. Our language is around 50% from Sanskrit. Many of our names are Sanskrit names. Therefore, there is this closeness and, we welcome more close cooperation..."

Congratulations to Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi on being conferred with the 'Bintang Adipurna of the Republic of Indonesia', the highest civilian honour of the Republic of Indonesia.
This exceptional honour is a resounding recognition of his visionary leadership, transformative statesmanship and steadfast commitment to advancing India's national interests while strengthening global partnerships founded on mutual trust, respect and shared progress.
A moment of immense pride for every Indian, reaffirming India's rising stature and enduring influence on the global stage.
On a quiet morning in Coonoor, a gentle figure walked into the Military Hospital. No cameras. No media. Just a President with a purpose. It was Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Dr. Kalam had heard that Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw was admitted there.
Dr. Kalam stepped beside him and asked softly, "Are you comfortable? Is there anything you need? Any complaint?"
Sam looked up, smiled, and said, "Yes... just one complaint."
Concerned, Dr. Kalam leaned closer. "What is your complaint?"
And Sam said: "The most respected President of my country is standing before me... and I cannot rise to salute him."
Silence filled the room.
Two giants of India, bound not by rank but by respect.
As Dr. Kalam prepared to leave, Sam quietly mentioned something he had never demanded: the arrears of his Field Marshal pension, which had been pending for years.
A week later, the Defence Secretary arrived in Wellington with a cheque of nearly ₹1.3 crore. Dr. Kalam had acted instantly.
And then came the most Sam Bahadur moment of all... he donated the entire amount to the Army Relief Fund.
Real heroes never ask for respect. They simply live in a way that generations salute them.

Who is Dr. Mayilsamy Annadurai?
The renowned ISRO scientist who served as Project Director for Chandrayaan-1 and played key leadership roles in Chandrayaan-2 and Mangalyaan (Mars Orbiter Mission).
The Tamil Nadu Government has appointed him Chairman of the Curriculum Design Committee for School Education -a very important responsibility.
Excellent choice for this crucial job.
In 2016, Dr. Geetha Manjunath was heading AI research at Xerox's Bengaluru lab, a role that followed a PhD from IISc, a stint as Principal Scientist at HP Labs, and over two decades building enterprise AI systems. Then her cousin, in her early forties, was diagnosed with breast cancer at a stage too advanced to treat.
"The mammogram had missed her cancer earlier," Geetha would later say. She quit her job soon after.
Mammography, the global standard for breast cancer screening, has real limits. It uses ionising radiation, is often painful enough that women actively avoid it, and is known to be less reliable in younger women and in the dense breast tissue common across Indian women. In India, where breast cancer accounts for over a quarter of all cancer diagnoses and the five-year survival rate trails far behind the United States and Australia, late detection is not a statistic. It is the difference between a cure and a funeral.
Geetha had spent years working with thermal imaging on unrelated projects. She wondered if temperature variation in breast tissue could reveal what mammograms missed, and built the science to test it. The result, Thermalytix, requires no radiation, no incisions, and no physical contact: a woman sits before a thermal sensor for a few minutes, and an AI model trained on clinical data analyses the image.
Niramai Health Analytix, the company Geetha founded and now leads as CEO and CTO, has since screened over 300,000 women across more than 20 countries, built on 39 patents and validated in 55+ peer-reviewed clinical studies. Geetha herself has been named to Forbes India's Top 20 Self-Made Women and inducted as a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering.
For India, where cost and discomfort keep millions of women away from regular screening, a radiation-free test that can be deployed in a primary clinic is not a convenience. It is a chance to catch what would otherwise be caught too late.
American Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, in a major speech, spells out what we in India would call their own "Swadeshi economic policy".
The first principle he states: "The first is that economic security begins with national capacity… The nation that depends on its adversaries for critical inputs is not truly sovereign. And the nation that reduces its economics to consumption is not truly prosperous."
Powerful words. I agree with him and India must resolutely apply the same principles. East Asian nations are all strongly Swadeshi too.
I am proud to be closely associated with the Swadeshi Jagran Manch, and SJM has long advocated similar principles, for over 3 decades now.

Meet the “Plastic Man of India” – Prof. Dr. R. Vasudevan from Madurai, Tamil Nadu!
He pioneered a brilliant way to recycle plastic waste into super-durable roads by shredding it and mixing with bitumen.
Started with a small stretch on his campus in 2002 — it’s still standing strong today! These roads are tougher, waterproof, heat-resistant, and help clear lakhs of tonnes of plastic waste across India.
Awarded the Padma Shri in 2018 for this green innovation.
Real change through science! 🇮🇳♻️
Restoring ground water levels is very vital for our nation. We care about that deeply at Zoho.
This work is good to do during a dry year, as the current year is shaping up to be.

We have started the work in Tanjavur district and will start in Pudukottai district in 1-2 weeks. We want to complete these before the next monsoon arrives.

Our rural school Kalaivani Kalvi Maiyam, which provides completely free education to rural children, faced delays getting approvals from the previous government. Of course, significant money was demanded and we were told that was the only way, even if it is a completely free school.
After @TVKVijayHQ came to power, approvals have happened quickly and automatically.
I am very happy to appreciate this positive development in our state. Thank you Thiru Vijay Avl for this refreshing change🙏
I've never seen such despicable bigotry towards Hinduism as what I see directed towards my friend @TulsiGabbard - it's absolutely abhorrent and if she were a democrat none of this would be happening.
She is the most independent minded, free thinking politician in America today. Full Stop. Which is why she can't be bought and is a threat to the establishment and deep state - this is why places like the Washington post are trying to hurt her.
I wish everyone knew Tulsi the way I do. She loves America and would give her life defending our values and freedom. She is kind, sweet, generous with her time, prays for you when you need it, selfless, incredible with my children and the kind of friend I can call at 2am in an emergency and would show up for you. The way strangers respond to her in person is not like normal politicians, they want to know her and feel safe opening up to her.
I am just so exhausted with the baseless slander directed at her. We all have different backgrounds that should be celebrate and not demonized.
I for one hope she runs for President in 2028.
How awesome to receive Sri Sri in Norway 🇳🇴!
I had a most amazing day yesterday going to the Norwegian parliament with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar .
Sri Sri shared his thoughts on loneliness and mental stress for a generation facing new challenges from social media and more.
Even at the the day of Norways great victory in football World Cup, so many turned out to welcome Sri Sri and to listen to him.
At a packed meeting in Gamle Logen he and I discussed peacemaking and the role of India in a new world order. We agreed that wars are irrational, they hardly ever achieve the stated purpose. Just look to the US - Iran war.
The need of our time is to look for compromises at all levels - in the family and the local community, in national affairs and between nations. A comprise is not something boring or weak, it’s the glue which keeps societies together. Compromise is the act of the strong and the wise!
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh was established in 1505. Sushruta had already been performing reconstructive surgery for over two thousand years by then. His ethical framework predates the Hippocratic Oath. East India Company surgeons were still learning rhinoplasty techniques from Indian practitioners in the 18th century.
What happened in Edinburgh this week is an overdue correction to Western assumptions about where foundational medical knowledge originated.

Today, on my final day as Director of National Intelligence, I’m releasing never-before-seen communications and documents exposing how Dr. Fauci provided millions in US taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, worked with politicized elements within the Intelligence Community to suppress the truth about his actions and hide the virus’ lab-leak origins, and lied to Congress while under oath in 2024. It’s time you know the truth.

Our golden ambassador of wellness makes for a very well sought after gift!
Of all the gifts presented by Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji to G7 leaders, it was particularly delightful to see Meghalaya’s GI-tagged Lakadong Turmeric among them.
Admired for its exceptionally high curcumin content and a host of health benefits, Lakadong Turmeric is poised to be launched as Meghalaya’s signature USP soon and our Prime Minister endorsing it on the global stage is a matter of immense pride for Meghalaya, its farmers, and India’s rich tradition of natural wellness.
Warm birthday greetings to the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji. Her journey, marked by courage, simplicity, humility and unwavering commitment to public service, continues to inspire people across the country.
Through her many years in public life, she has served the nation in an outstanding manner, especially passionate about the wellbeing of the underprivileged and marginalised. Her steadfast dedication to India’s development is very motivating.
May she be blessed with a long and healthy life in the service of the nation. I look forward to meeting her later today at the programme in Odisha.

Today we remember Veera Vanchinathan who sacrificed his life for the freedom of Bharath. On 17 June 1911, Vanchinathan entered a first-class compartment at Maniyachi Junction and shot Tirunelveli Collector Ashe, who was responsible for the repression of the Swadeshi movement and the persecution of V.O. Chidambaram Pillai and Subramania Siva. Moments later, Vanchi took his own life rather than be captured.
He was only twenty-five. He had given up his career, distanced himself from family life and chosen a path from which he knew there would be no return. His method may be debated, but his courage, sacrifice and uncompromising commitment to Bharat’s freedom cannot be denied.
On his remembrance day, let us honour the martyr who placed the nation above his own life.
"I am delighted to convey to the people that today marks the dawning of a new era in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.
It brings immense satisfaction that, after a hiatus of three years, the Governor’s address was read in its entirety within the House without any disruption today. Furthermore, for the very first time, the National Anthem was rendered both at the commencement of the session and at the conclusion of the Governor's address. It is no exaggeration to say that this historic event stands as a testament to upholding the dignity of democracy, successfully fulfilling the aspirations of the people of Tamil Nadu who desire a harmonious relationship between the State Government and the Governor’s office(Lok Bhavan).
In a democracy, an administration must function with the objective of fostering an integrated and harmonious relationship across all quarters, thereby fulfilling the needs and expectations of its citizens to serve as a stable and exemplary government. It is deeply gratifying that we have all begun our collective journey toward this very goal." - Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Governor of Tamil Nadu.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Robert A. F. Thurman, an eminent scholar of Buddhism, a distinguished teacher and a lifelong friend of India. Through his works, he popularised Buddhist thoughts globally and also built enduring bridges of understanding between cultures. I fondly recall our meeting in New York City a few years ago, where we had an excellent conversation. My thoughts are with his family, friends and admirers in this hour of grief.
