Ever wondered why gold is yellow? The answer is Einsteinโs Special Relativity.
In Gold (Atomic Number 79), the nucleus is so massive & packed with protons that the inner electrons have to orbit at incredible speeds (~58% the speed of light) just to avoid crashing into the center.
At these relativistic speeds, the electrons gain mass (according to E=mc^2). This mass increase shifts the energy levels of the electron sea.
Cos of this relativistic contraction, Gold's electrons become better at absorbing blue & violet light, rather than reflecting them. Since the blue is stolen by the atoms, the light that bounces back to our eye is shifted toward the yellow/red end of the spectrum.
@WokePandemic@caleb_friesen When the West did it earlier, it was called industrial revolution and what not but when India is busy with AI revolution, its called some syndrome! Funny guy!
Chandrayaan-3 Mission:
All set to initiate the Automatic Landing Sequence (ALS).
Awaiting the arrival of Lander Module (LM) at the designated point, around 17:44 Hrs. IST.
Upon receiving the ALS command, the LM activates the throttleable engines for powered descent.
The mission operations team will keep confirming the sequential execution of commands.
The live telecast of operations at MOX begins at 17:20 Hrs. IST
India is over the moon AGAIN!! With chandrayaan-1 India became the first country to detect water on lunar surface in 2008 and now with Chnadrayaan-3, India became The first country to do a softlanding on the South Pole of the moon. Thank you @isro#chandrayaan3mission#ISRO
I remember reading about determinants in high school. The name was scary and not much context was given. ๐ฆ
For a long time, a determinant was just a value I had to blindly compute using a formula.
Here's what I would like to know about determinants when I first started... ๐งต
The single most important "side-effect" of solving linear equation systems: the LU decomposition.
Why? Because in practice, it is the engine behind inverting matrices and computing their determinants.
Here is how it works.
In this short thread, I aim to share my thoughts on one of the best movies and one of my favourites, '๐ ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ง๐,' as it aligns with my keen interest in movies centered around mathematics and physics.
