@huwbtaylor@OzKaterji I don't think he'll be able to ignore the reasons why they were voted in however. A lot of his front bench in previously safe inner city seats will be uneasy this morning with how their majorities have been sliced + loss of people like Ashworth
I’m impressed by @TheGreenParty
They’ve built a cadre of strong activists, locally rooted across UK.
Their leadership are competent - without being egomaniacs.
Their top 4 candidates are competent, intelligent & affable.
They are committed to building an organisation.
@GE2024_watcher@Mr_John_Oxley I think that for the time being (and probably up to 2029), creative ambiguity can be maintained because frankly the media doesn't scrutinise our positions in that much detail
These are some of the urban core seats that will have the necessary critical mass of dissatisfied voters on the left to really challenge Labour next time around.
With Labour in government, the desire to vote tactically will diminish and left dissent will become more vocal.
The YouGov MRP puts the Greens second in 46 seats - all of them Labour seats.
This will put them in a position to seek to challenge Labour from the left in 2029.
@richardwillq @EventLambeth@lambeth_council Completely disgraceful. There can be no economic argument about how it benefits the park financially if this is the state it's left in
