Kurdish women fighters fought & died by the thousands to liberate Raqqa, the so-called capital of ISIS’ caliphate, after the world watched ISIS rape women, behead civilians, and sell Yazidi girls in open markets like livestock.
And this is how their sacrifice is repaid?
Government-loyalist thugs are allowed to topple the statue of a Kurdish woman fighter, the only symbol of women’s freedom Raqqa has ever known, while the same men suddenly discover their “bravery.”
Where were you when ISIS was dragging your mothers, sisters, and daughters into cages and burning them alive?!
Where was this courage when they were being auctioned in your streets?!
Where was your outrage when mass graves were being filled with your people?!
You were silent. You hid. You fled. And YOU SURVIVED bc KURDISH WOMEN stood between YOU & ISIS.
And the moment the SDF is forced to retreat, you move in to desecrate their memory.
What an absolute disgrace.
To hell with you & the cowardice masquerading as power.
And to hell with the international “community,” for standing idle while atrocities against Kurds in Syria unfold in real time.

Exclusive: Full English-subtitled #SDF General Mazloum Abdi's address on the January 18 agreement.
"The war was imposed on us... planned by many sides. We withdrew from Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa to halt bloodshed, prevent civil war, and protect our people's gains and identity.
We will defend these achievements with all our strength, this is a long struggle, and we will prevail."

As the DEM Party, we emphasize that the attacks targeting Rojava have reached a level that threatens regional peace. #DefendRojava
Kurds have paid a heavy price to play a major role in defeating ISIS. Yet today we see the Syrian government, led by former ISIS members and backed by Turkey, attacking Kurdish autonomy in Rojava. The world—and especially Western countries—should at least ethically feel responsible for stopping this atrocity against the Kurdish minority in Syria. #Syria #Rojava #Kurdistan
Har sammen med @ibrahimbenli_ skrevet om situationen i Syrien, og hvorfor vi ikke har tiltro til regeringens forsikringer om beskyttelse af landets minoriteter https://t.co/jkQOy38eCd #dkpol
Yesterday, the SDF agreed to withdraw its forces from the western bank of the Euphrates, including the towns of Dayr Hafer and Maskanah. However, units affiliated with the Syrian Transitional Government (STG), have violated this agreement.
It is shameful and reprehensible that the West is now betraying the Syrian Kurds.
They were the ones who sacrificed thousands of lives to defeat the death cult known as the Islamic State.
The EU should suspend all support for the new Syrian authorities until the attacks against Kurdish areas are halted.

🇸🇾 Don’t let sectarian HTS propagandists fool you, the SDF is a secular force made up of all creeds and colours. The fighting in Aleppo is an all out attack on Kurdish neighbourhoods. Jolani’s fighters started this with the backing of Turkey.

The Kurdish-led SDF said on Saturday that a Kurdish female fighter was executed and thrown from a building by the Syrian army.
The fighter was reportedly captured by armed men after resisting an army attack in the Kurdish-majority neighborhood of Sheikh Maqsood for hours.
Tens of Kurdish civilians from Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsood neighborhood have been captured and humiliated by Damascus-affiliated armed groups, in what rights observers are condemning as arbitrary detention and ethnic targeting.
we have every reason to not trust the arab government and syrian army made up of former members of islamist armed groups who would rape kurdish women https://t.co/VuSPEZQZ0z
Ronahi TV reports that Khaled Fajar Hospital which shelters large numbers of civilians, has been struck once again by forces of the Syrian interim government.
No justice, no peace, while the Kurds are denied and attacked.
Heta ku înkar û êrîş li ser Kurdan berdewam dike ne edalet û ne jî aştî dibe.
Kürtlere yönelik inkâr ve saldırılar sürdükçe adalet de barış da olmaz.

Civilians، mostly children, women, and the elderly took shelter inside Khaled Fajr Hospital in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo, believing it to be a safe place, before the hospital was subjected to direct artillery shelling by factions and militias affiliated with the Damascus government.
The targeting of Khaled Fajr Hospital constitutes a clear war crime, particularly as the hospital had been explicitly listed on targeting maps previously published by the so-called “Ministry of Defense,” amounting to a public admission of prior intent to target medical facilities.
