@IWCare very dangerous sink hole in the road at the junction between prior park Rd and Shamrock hill in Clonmel.
Appears to be from recent water works. Reported to IW at 9am but nothing done yet. Found a cone to stop anyone driving into it but needs to be sorted ASAP.
@d_mathieson @Buseireann@TFIupdates The main issue here is why are we probably the only country in the world that doesn’t allow contactless card payment on our busses. Nobody has change and few use cash. Get it sorted @Buseireann@TFIupdates@greenparty_ie
@clever_user_nam@daveirl@Nick_Delehanty If it’s not “pedal-assist” and capable of going over 25KPH it’s an electric motorbike. Same rules as any other motor bike. Tax, insurance, license, number plate. And no cycle lane usage. Just no enforcement.
Not in the same league as normal pedal cyclists at all.
@CyclingInKK @CitroenIreland You can drive them at 14y old in France 🤯
Don’t think we need 14y olds on the road but Fec me when I was 14 I’d have been all over it.
@CarlowWeather He was on Cross lake in Belmullet not the Sea. Amazing skill 30m high, 156m horizontal travel, 67kph max speed 🤯
Haters gonna hate, he’s a professional, he knows what he is doing. Get outside, take a calculated risk and live, it beats getting fat on the sofa.
This story is absolutely sickening.
SUV driver drives into cycle lane and runs over cyclist's foot. Cyclist bangs on bonnet. SUV driver runs over cyclist, reverses, and runs over him again. He's got his teenage daughter in the car.
And you ask why we want protected cycle lanes?
@CyclingForMind I get that the whole time. Driver education & fines only answer. Some people don’t think. I don’t think it’s sending a message. It’s as if you were a tree or something. They see enough space not to hit you and that’s enough for them.
@graeme_cobb PHEV is fundamentally a bad idea. You get an hugely complicated drive train with multiple points of failure.
You have a tiny battery that gets cycled daily causing a short life.
1500 cycles of an EV might be 600,000 kms
1500 cycles of a PHEV Battery only 100,000kms
@MollyMargulies@philipnolan1 You don’t need to move stuff, but it can get tangled in shoelaces/ribbons/string/phone chargers etc. There are newer versions now with a camera and AI to avoid stuff like that.
I run it every night, it gets stuck maybe one in five. But gets done the next night so no prob.
@MollyMargulies@philipnolan1 I have the Roborock S7 Max. I chose it because it empties automatically and cleans the mop automatically so all you need to do is fill/empty the water weekly and the dust bag 6/8 weeks.
@adrianweckler This should read EU puts 35% tax on its car buyers.
All this does is allow German manufacturers to continue to produce overpriced poor quality EV’s and delays the elimination of fossil fuels from transport.
@AilbheBosca1 That’s a stupid rule because they are loosing the time anyway. Crazy time lost in 2nd & 6th year over sacraments.
Obviously I’d prefer Sunday school for religion etc but given where we are a shorter day would be better for my kids anyway.
@AilbheBosca1 Simple solution. Do all the religion at the end of the day on one (or
2) day per week. Non religious kids can finish early that day. Apparently priests don’t allow that as too many would likely opt out.
