Minister @Siviwe_G For Your Urgent Attention: Please Probe Into SACAI ASAP!
To say I am livid would be an understatement!
My niece received her matric results today, and they are utterly appalling. And no, she is not the only one. How does a consistent performer with year averages of 80% in physical science and 86% in maths suddenly drop to 25% and 36% respectively? This is not just an isolated issue—it’s a recurring pattern with SACAI.
Every year begins with students and parents being forced to file petitions to challenge SACAI’s results. How is it possible that this institution faces the same investigations year after year, yet no decisive action is ever taken?
The data published on @News24 only worsens the situation: "Out of 5,789 students from 59 institutions who wrote the exams, only 1,846 students qualified for admission to Bachelor studies." That’s a shocking 31.9%, leaving over 68% of students without Bachelor-level admission—a devastating blow to these poor souls and their futures.
To add insult to injury, families are now expected to pay exorbitant fees for remarks, and endure immense emotional and financial stress to rectify SACAI’s inconsistencies. The fact that last year a student saw their Life Orientation mark jump from 45% to 82% after a remark only proves that SACAI is failing in its duty to provide accurate and fair results.
Stories pouring in from the @UCTOnlineHigh WhatsApp group reveal a consistent pattern of heartbreaking discrepancies, where hardworking students have been left with marks that do not reflect their capabilities or effort.
My niece had already secured a bursary for her university studies, which is now in jeopardy because of these horrendous results. No, today gone, I am angry...ke kwatile pap!
@UCTOnlineHigh@UmalusiSA@DBE_SA@Siviwe_G, immediate intervention is required, PLEASE. SACAI’s failures cannot continue unchecked. The futures of these students hang in the balance, and justice must be served without delay.

@UCTOnlineHigh@UmalusiSA@DBE_SA please investigate SACAI as students final marks aren’t consistent with their year’s average, it’s unacceptable to be messing with the youth’s futures by using the same examination board that has a history of being incompetent with their marking!
@Afrihost is there a issue in the Wynberg area? My fiber just died and I'm told it's 24-48hrs for further assistance? Help me out here guys I cannot afford to be disconnected for that long.
@Leon_Schreib@HomeAffairsSA I have been trying to get an appointment sine the beginning of June and to date nothing is available, how is it possible that since June to the end of August nothing is available for booking at Wynberg Cape Town. This includes your M.Plain and CT
@CapeTalk Honestly as a resident of Wynberg and watching this area deteriorate over the past 21 years I consider the councilors weak and smooth talkers. You don't care.
@CapeTalk Really? Wynberg is a disaster, weekly restlessness cable theft leaving residents powerless for hours? Homelessness, drugs bring shot up in public view? Come on guys stop sticking your head in the sand!!!
@Our_DA@geordinhl Cable theft again... really guys you expect people to support you but your leadership is in my opinion pathetic... you guys don't care
What exactly is going to be done with regards to the surge of cable theft experienced in the lower Wynberg this past week. No use asking your Councilor Carmen she prefers the comfort of her closed whatsapp group. @Our_DA@geordinhl show your worth and do something!
@avicebennerhoe Their social media team sucks big time. They posted a video poking fun at a little person not to long ago I emailed them and no response...they absolutely suck
@Afrihost guys I need your assistance and there is nobody available to help? How is this possible your phone lines are unavailable as well as whatsapp?
