"Each such incident [#sexualharassment] results in violation of the fundamental rights of 'Gender #Equality' and the 'Right of Life and Liberty'. It is clear violation of rights under #Articles14, #15 and 21 of [the] Constitution" #Vishaka, 1997, Supreme Court of India
Crazy that this is getting barely any coverage. This year’s European Press Prize was just awarded to an investigative report by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. It is entitled “What the Wounds Tell” and in it the journalists Maud Effting and Willem Feenstra document the cases of 114 children in Gaza under the age of 15 who were struck by a single bullet to the head or chest. Almost all of them died or were left severely disabled. They chose to document only the cases of boys and girls under the age of 15 (though often much younger: aged 3, 4 or 7) because these are children who can be immediately identified as such. “A single bullet in these parts of the body is a clear indication that these children were deliberately targeted“, the two journalists write.

Riyazuddin Mansoori. Plz read this name again. He saved eight lives in Delhi hotel fire.
Mansoori n his son Arman, took out 20-25 mattresses from his shop n kept outside window of the hotel where fire broke out. So that people stuck inside could jump.
Eight people could save their lives because of Mansoori family. He didn't think about loss of a few lakhs of mattresses.
He himself might don't want to boast. But this is for everyone who try to criminalise every act by Muslims.
It’s tough to acknowledge this but Indian men in their current avatar remain the biggest challenge to tourism - no investment in tourism can help when rape culture encourages people to view women in general and foreign women in particular as legitimate targets for harassment

Attenborough at 100 — A Sting Cut
We know what humans think of David Attenborough: the greatest broadcaster in TV history. But what do the animals think?
The Gaza “Board of Peace” must be seen as overseeing the continuation of a genocide.
By not clearing rubble or rebuilding infrastructure, or allowing material that allows the Palestinians to do so, they are perpetuating conditions that are incompatible with life.
@flowidealism I became a lawyer. I learnt nothing about life in law school. My 1st degree, English Lit, taught me to read between the lines. A nuance that showed me how life is meant to shape law, not the other way around. One enables, the other excludes.
