@Krishna821820@shekinahabolo@GeauxGabrielle from my experience traveling as a minor w/o my parents i was never asked to show my birth certificate nor was i ever prompted to show proof of consent despite being prepped w one. i think it’s a case by case scenario if customs prompts you. plus we know d4vd made fake ids for her
@Iixfriedchicken@seulgicide@Melanie9408401@GeauxGabrielle usually it’s recommended to have a written letter of consent but they don’t always check it at customs and i know this from personal experience (plus we don’t know if shit was forged)
@iammo_nae@game_gif5@jeonghives *think. they don’t check as consistently as ppl assume. unless the passport isn’t valid/is on some alert list or travel patterns trigger questioning or the airline requires it, agents usually don’t question for more info. the safeguards are there but ppl can still slip past
@iammo_nae@game_gif5@jeonghives it rly isn’t as simple as you thing it is. for one, if you have a valid passport that hasn’t been flagged, you can pass customs that way and if they do not ask you for a consent letter, you could just walk past. not saying that it’s easy, but it’s not as cut and dry as you think
@deathdevotions@jeonghives also i typically traveled with some sort of family or my school so it’s unlikely that my case would’ve triggered customs to ask for my paperwork vs celeste who was traveling w complete strangers. so different situations entirely. again take it w a grain of salt
@deathdevotions@jeonghives from what i can remember when i traveled as a kid, you needed parental consent forms but i don’t remember them asking for them every time i traveled w only my mom or with aunts and uncles. but also this was in like 2010s so take my anecdote w a grain of salt
