*Sighs. I like El-Rufai. And I think you guys should be fair to him and have mercy on him at least and stop egging him on.
Don't get ahead of yourselves please. Politically, El-Rufai was/is not an equal to a Tinubu. He will never be.
OBJ at the height of his presidential powers went toe to toe with Asiwaju, he returned with a bloody nose. If Tinubu actually want to bring the full weight of his leverages upon El-Rufai, you would be sorry for the later.
Ask President Jonathan especially when he poured everything into Lagos Guber in 2015.
Ask SP Saraki how things panned out for him in Kwara in 2019.
Ask Amosun, Rauf, and several others that felt they're grown balls big enough to muscle Tinubu, ask them how it panned out for them.
19 years ago when Tinubu attained the status of political godfatherism, El-Rufai was never near the realm Tinubu operated.
The only politician that stood a chance against Tinubu, not as opponent, but as an equal at the negotiable table, was Muhammadu Buhari who had sparingly weak political structure but an intimidating mass appeal in the core North (NW & NE).
And just so we are clear, in 2015, Tinubu, alongside Buhari, put together a party that gave El-Rufai (and several others) the platform to contest and become Governor of Kaduna State...largely on the hurricane momentum off that 2015 presidential victory of the APC.
The only comparison you should be making here is pitching El-Rufai with some Tinubu's political godsons.

Says she will continue to do all within her capacity to make life better for the ordinary Nigerian
First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu says she is committed to strengthening the hands of young girls to shape a future that matches their dreams

@GossipMillNaija This particular job has been done by people for decades.
I remember seeing people doing this since the early 70's when I was in pry school in Ebute Meta (Oko Baba) Lagos.
By David Abbruzzes:
This Australian's reply to Trump's rant about “NATO not being there for America” is perfect.
"Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage.
You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail.
Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates.
Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you.
And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban thanked you very much for losing again.
And you're calling Greenland poorly run?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no.
'NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years.
And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess.
So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your f----- mouth."
Very well stated.
Meanwhile, Eko Atlantic City was literally built on reclaimed land from the ocean, yet it has never experienced flooding. But some people still insist that the Coastal Road is responsible for Lagos' flooding.
They should exchange some of you for Akara
@DanelxNelson@MasterBolaji If they invite you to come and substantiate your claim on the COS now, your family and other stupid people like you will start crying about the place.
@ShobandeFrancis@ennyola0015 How much are you paying in tax out of your earnings?
It's obvious you don't pay tax at all, cause if you do, you wouldn't be saying the balderdash that you just spewed.
In fact, you shouldn't be part of this conversation, as it's way beyond your mediocre league.
@idofoi This narrative is even faulty. The insinuation that somebody somewhere capitalised on their weakness is crap. They did themselves in by creating the pit they eventually fell into, nobody pushed them.
It was the law of natural justice that caught up with them.
@Onsogbu So, what happens now?
Even if he stole the money as alleged, he should not have been treated this way.
This madness must be confronted and brought to justice.
🪖 A SOLDIER SPEAKS: The Katsina Airport airport arrests and the dangerous game of “DIALOGUE”
Brothers and sisters, something significant just happened in Katsina.
Seven suspected t£rr0r!sts were arrested right at the airport upon landing from a Hajj-bound aircraft. Let that sink in.
These individuals allegedly used the sacred journey of Hajj as cover, only to be nabbed the moment they touched down. This is not random. This is intelligence at work.
Now, let's connect the dots with the recent explosive claim by respected security analyst Dr. Bashir Kurfi that some n0t0rious b@nd!t commanders were allegedly given ₦10 million each by the Katsina State Government to perform Hajj.
If these arrests are linked in any way, then we are looking at a very dangerous pattern: using public resources to fund or appease criminals who turn around and continue t£rr0rizing citizens.
As a soldier on the ground, I will say this clearly:
Dialogue and rehabilitation have their place but only when it is backed by strength, verifiable commitment, and iron-clad monitoring. Paying off hardcore commanders while our troops are bleeding in the forests is not peace-building. It is playing with fire.
These arrests are a major win for our intelligence agencies and security forces. They prove that no matter how sophisticated the criminals think they are, the net is tightening.
What must happen now:
1️⃣ Thorough investigation trace every kobo, every contact, every enabler.
2️⃣ Prosecute these 7 to the fullest extent of the law. No plea deals that return them to the bush.
3️⃣ Those still at large must be hunted relentlessly. No safe haven.
4️⃣ Any government official or politician found complicit in funding bandits must face justice. No sacred cows.
5️⃣ Strengthen border and airport security screening, especially during major religious travels.
To the people of Katsina and the North-West: stay vigilant and continue supporting the troops with credible intelligence.
To the authorities: this is the moment to show that Nigeria’s security is not for sale.
We did not sign up to d!£ so that b@nd!ts and t£rr0r!sts can enjoy pilgrimage on public money.
THE FIGHT CONTINUES. NO RETREAT. NO SURRENDER.
What are your thoughts, Nigerians?
