Breaking News: ‼️‼️‼️
Hindu engineers and software geeks working in America on H-1B Visas didn't commit the terrorist acts in New Orleans and Vegas.
In fact, records show that a Hindu has never committed an act of terrorism in America.
We need more legal immigration, not less.
H-1B visas need to be reformed positively, but calling H-1B visa holders low wage is a terrible mischaracterization not supported by data.
It is also the most common dual intent visa for eventual employment based green card holders.
People who say H-1B visa holders are “low-wage indentured servants” are misleading you or don’t know what they’re talking about.
The H-1B has minimum education requirements & the average wage is well over $100,000—more than the vast majority of people. Shame on Bernie Sanders.
Senator, I am a cardiologist trained at Mayo Clinic. Without the H1B visa, my path to U.S. citizenship would have been impossible. Before hiring me, my employer struggled for over a year to find a qualified, well-trained cardiologist to serve rural Kansas. I’d be happy to meet with you to provide a clearer picture of how the H1B program supports underserved communities and strengthens our nation.
This is a math exam for 7th grade children in India.
How many American college students can get 100% on this test? 🤔
In a knowledge-based and globalized economy, the difference between workers of poor and rich countries is shrinking rapidly.
The reason it is disproportionately India and China is the insane #greencardbacklog. Indian and Chinese nationals have to keep renewing their #H1B since they can’t get a green card yet due to country caps.
This is what @VivekGRamaswamy was talking about, and he isn’t wrong. I experienced it myself when I first came to the US and enrolled in the 12th grade. This is not about H-1B visas. It is about a sharp deterioration of academic standards in American public schools
The number one competitive advantage America has is our workforce. The H-1B program attracts the best and brightest talent from around the world and strengthens that advantage as we also invest in American workers.
Indians are the least problematic people who do nothing but mind their own business and massively contribute to the economy. The fact that that’s who people in America are worried about rather than the radicalization in the streets and taking over academia is exactly the problem.
Immigrants make our economy great—including those who come to our shores on H-1B visas. This Congress, I'll work to protect and expand our country’s ability to attract the talent it needs, and I'll stand strong against any efforts to reduce high-skilled legal immigration.
Racism in America is still alive and well, and we must stand up to it together.
Just read the replies to any recent post that includes "H-1B" to see the deplorable rhetoric targeting Indian Americans.
That's why I introduced a bipartisan resolution condemning all Hinduphobia.
Do you support raising immigration country caps?
@elonmusk, @VivekGRamaswamy, & @realDonaldTrump are right.
But we must tackle country caps (currently 7%) & green card backlogs (years/decades).
The Dignity Act addresses these to increase American prosperity & competitiveness.
