This picture came up in my feed yesterday. It was at the Vaxxed premier in New York City 10 years ago. Dr. Wakefield was outside comforting parents of autistic kids. Look at the compassion of this man, put his arm around, hugs a mom. This man sacrifice has changed so many lives. And I thank him.

Tragic case highlights the absurdity of over prescription of some patients. But it does not take away from the fact that three children were murdered. I fall on the side of this woman needs to spend the rest of her life in A mental institution never to see the light of day as a free person again. But all the people that prescribed the ridiculous amount of medicine that she was on need to be taken to task as well. I have a son who has rare form of seizures and is on a cocktail of medication’s to keep his seizures at Bay, I know firsthand how incredibly dangerous these medications can be if not taking appropriately. When you’re at a point of taking the medication, she was taking and the state of her mind. She needed to be supervised either by a responsible family member, which is hard because we’re not born to deal with mental illnesses. Or she should’ve been checked in to a place where professionals could watch her. This failed on so many levels, but this woman needs to be confined for the rest of her life and punished for what has happened.

My autistic son, was in a study to see if his rare form of seizures was genetic, he has Lennox-Gastaut seizures. Much to the surprise of his neurologist my son also has no seizure genes . So to my way of thinking, his autism and his seizures were given to him environmentally. Vaccines suck.
