I've gotten a TON of requests for an #elementary#choiceboard for teachers to engage their #students remotely & give #parents strategies to keep kids learning at home. SHOUT OUT to @jimshannonsmith who shared strategies that I integrated into this! https://t.co/bi16T8mvJ5

An engaged classroom will continue to thrive, even when you're not in the same room as your students. Reply and let us know how you are keeping your virtual classroom engaged.

As schools and school systems scramble to provide on line learning here are a two tips: don't try to do too much --if you do it will be of low quality, and discourage everyone; if you already had a collaborative culture have two or more teachers work together and co-present.
With many schools transitioning to virtual learning, now would be a great time to also teach students essential academic behaviors—executive functioning skills—to help them organize and plan for “working from home”. These behaviors are essential now and for future success.
