A look at the solar system through the eyes of the Parker probe.

If you're patient, you might see a comet. But first, you'll see the solar system from a point inside the orbit of Mercury. This video was taken by the Parker probe as it circled the sun.

The footage shows solar wind streams, a small coronal mass ejection, and planets appearing one after the other: Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Earth, Mars, and Jupiter. The comet Zijinshan-Atlas passes between Earth and Mars with its clearly visible tail. And the short-lived flashes are high-energy particles from the sun hitting the probe's camera.

The video was taken last year during Parker's 21st close approach to the sun. Analyzing this data helps scientists better understand space weather and its impact on Earth's power grids, satellites, and astronauts in outer space.
