Remote work gives us freedom, but meeting in person gives us energy. Our Obol Labs offsite in Argentina 🇦🇷 reminded us how strong our global team truly is.

Ethereum's biggest security risk is a grey swan known unknown. We've designed the game theory of key theft to incentivise hoarding them. Stealing 100 keys doesn't give you much leverage, stealing 10k keys gives you millions to billions of dollars of leverage.
I fear the market is underpricing this risk because we haven't seen many key thefts yet because of this incentive to hoard. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
Almost all staking setups out there have *multiple* single points of failure that can lead to key theft. Many of these are common to huge amounts of the validator set, meaning if they fail, a huge amount of the network is at risk and thus the consequences are enormous.
We're working on a new initiative with others in the space to shed light onto these risky staking setups, giving delegated stakers the tools to better understand how exposed they might be to these risks. If you'd like to lend a hand or provide feedback, reply or DM. Together we can make Ethereum anti-fragile before its too late.

We'll be discussing where community staking is going next, and how the Public Goods Staking Protocol (PGSP) is helping turn Ethereum validator yield into perpetual funding for environmental, science, and social initiatives.

@Polymarket Maybe Bolt had a weak HR team. Or maybe leadership never understood how to leverage HR as a true business partner.
Most companies don’t struggle because of “too much HR” — they struggle because of weak leadership and poor people management.
@Polymarket Good HR teams help leaders manage, motivate, develop, and retain people. They don’t create people problems; they anticipate and solve them together with managers before they escalate.
As HBR said: “AI won’t replace humans, but humans with AI will replace humans without AI.”
The companies that win won’t just adopt AI faster. They’ll know how to keep humans at the center while doing it.
Everyone talks about how AI will replace jobs. But AI is actually making great People leaders more valuable. AI can automate tasks. It can’t build trust, coach managers, shape culture, or lead humans through uncertainty.
This week my Obol Agent has;
- Distributed >$10k in stEth to Lido Operators
- Bought 10x long $JAAA RWAs on Uniswap
- Highlighted the gaps in issuance research to 100+ Ethereans
- Onboarded 4 more agents to $OBOL by buying their hello world service
Agents are super charging the economy. We're building infrastructure to allow this economy to flourish on decentralised rails.

Last week, @OisinKyne presented EIP-7716 at All Core Devs – Consensus #177.
The Goal?
When centralized (correlated) validators go offline, their downtime penalty should be higher than that of decentralized (uncorrelated) validators.
Uncorrelated failures keep the standard penalty, while Correlated failures may be penalized up to 4x.
This is how we can meaningfully push back against the centralization of staking that Ethereum is experiencing.
