Orthobroism is a cult, akin to ancient heretical movements like Montanism. It should be treated accordingly, not with excuses or a slap on the wrist.

Orthobros have their own particular conception of Church authority, dogma, Church praxis, etc. And it is almost always inimical to actual Orthodox life and belief.

We need to recognize and understand that this is a semi-organized movement, not a group of individuals who happen to share certain sentiments in common.

In light of that, we need to be forceful and open about our rejection of Orthobroism in the parish and everywhere.

It is not Orthodoxy, period. And we reject it with the same unwavering commitment with which we reject any of the heresies of antiquity.
