Astonishing fact: the BBC has not broadcast an iv with Francesca Albanese since Dec '23.
Almost 3 yrs of genocide & they've not once felt the need to talk to the UN's Special Rapporteur for human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories. /1
"Consuming Chicken Biryani is not an Offence, can't be an offence, there is no LAW Prohibiting Consumption of Chicken Biryani over Ganga but they were arrested for that very Reason & kept in Jail for THREE MONTHS, Can you imagine 3 months in Jail denying Bail.." – SC Judge Ujjawal Bhuyan
Thank you Sir for your Concern about Minority Community & For raising your voice against biased Judiciary. Just adding to your conclusion, they were not arrested solely for that very Reason, also there was another reason and that was, they belonged to a Specific Community, a Specific Religion.
But if they belonged to the majority community, even if they had smashed someone's head open, requiring sixteen stitches, no one would have dared to lay a finger on them; that is the reality of this country.
I explain analytical base of my conclusion that GDP growth in Q1 in 2026-27 in current price is 2.6% and in real terms close to 0. There are still messier distortions in sectoral performance with manufacturing and consumption witnessing negative growth. https://t.co/pvsjXlAdcq
Mr Anurag Kumar @CPDelhi@DelhiPolice ,
Informing an individual's family during interrogation or detention is a legal mandate, not an optional courtesy.
Yesterday, I was taken for interrogation after my morning walk under the assurance that it would take very little time. However, as the hours stretched on, my repeated requests to inform my wife of my whereabouts ,the concerned Police Officials/Officer simply stated they were "following instructions."
I was only permitted to make a call at 6:38 PM, leaving my family & friends in total panic the entire day.
I request that you issue clear instructions to all units directing officers to strictly uphold the legal duty of immediately informing the family of any person taken for interrogation , so that no citizen’s family has to endure the distress that mine suffered.
I am not surprised. I am angry. This is exactly what happened in Hitler's Germany. Fascism is unfolding before our eyes.
The Anand Niketan School in Ahmedabad, Gujarat was fined ₹10,000 by authorities for keeping books like Anne Frank’s The Diary of a Young Girl and Malala Yousafzai’s I Am Malala in its library. These books were "optional". They also terminated the services of a curriculum consultant.
Ahmedabad citizens decided to read books in public to protest against this action. BJP/RSS goons attacked in large numbers. The police has refused to register an FIR.
This is the dangerous American model of Military-Industrial Complex
It profits and excels in War-Ater-War so that their technology and arsenal of bombs, aircraft, armoured vehicles, missiles and DEATH receives endless orders from Rulers that
THEY HAVE BRIBED TO WIN.
Dues worth Rs. 22,000 Cr settled for Rs. 6.5 Cr
What was even the need for such a "settlement"?
Anyways, in this case, the largest impacted party is LIC Housing Finance (LIC HF) who would get ₹0.38 Cr against a claim of ₹1,322 crore.
LIC HF will bear 55% of this loss (poor shareholders!)
LIC will bear 45% of this loss (poor taxpayers!)
The Indian government’s decision to abstain on the @ilo’s Convention on “decent work in the Platform Economy”, which establishes minimum conditions for gig workers and which Indian employers and workers both voted to support, is a national disgrace.
Instead of abstaining, the government should have endorsed the standards the whole world has agreed upon to protect gig workers, and adopted them in domestic legislation.
This is one more example of the establishment’s tone-deafness to the needs of young Indians, in this case the lakhs who earn a bare living through an app.

"The police officers who came to arrest Aishe Ghosh today committed a blatant violation of both the Supreme Court's judgment and the Delhi Police’s Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
The 1997 ruling in D.K. Basu v. State of West Bengal regarding arrest, detention, and custodial violence is a landmark judgment of the Supreme Court. It was the very first fundamental principle of this judgment that the Delhi Police violated today which mandates that police officers carrying out an arrest must wear clear, visible identification and name tags.
Furthermore, Section 36 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) explicitly requires officers to bear accurate, visible, and clear identification of their names to facilitate easy identification. It was when this was pointed out at the AKG Centre that the Delhi Police officers panicked and fled."

What blatant arrogance!..
Police are arriving to make arrests wearing neither uniforms nor nameplates, and the Delhi Police have barged into a political party office without permission. This hasty action against one of the faces of the students agitation, former JNU Students' Union President and SFI leader @aishe_ghosh is purely retaliation for her leading the historic protest that forced the Central Government to yield. The Central Government is issuing outright threats, declaring that all participants of the Jantar Mantar demonstration will be sent to prison

The RSS claims it needs no government funds since only volunteer donations sustain it.
An investigation by @Sachi_HN, @Jahnavi_R, @anotherayush, & @NeelMadhav___ found 20 Sangh-linked organisations received Rs 668 crore in CSR funds from ONGC, a state-owned oil company, over the last ten years.

Remember the truck full of stones that appeared near the CJP protest site in Jantar Mantar?
@ImAvdheshkumar traced the vehicle with its registration number. It was not a stray truck: the Delhi Police had seized it four days earlier

The ultimate farce! While the nation demands accountability for exam scams & paper leaks, Govt appoints Naresh Pal Gangwar as the new Higher Education Secretary!
This is the same IAS officer whose mother, wife & son collectively received over ₹1.16 crore in government subsidies under the National Horticulture Board scheme for “encouraging commercial crops” (cucumber cultivation). This the way PM ensuring accountability..
BIG: Proof of pellet gun used in Monday protest by RAF confirmed with documents: victims hospital documents obtained . @IndiaToday Anand Singh nails a big story.
Here is a premier public university of India threatening its students and faculty that being at Jantar Mantar could seriously impact their “academic progress and professional opportunities”!
The same University that is fighting a legal battle to hide the identity of its most illustrious student!
