OUVRIR LES YEUX sur la réalité de la colonisation israélienne en Cisjordanie, qui annihile sur le terrain toute possibilité d’État palestinien et donc de solution politique négociée au conflit israélo-palestinien.

D’après l’ONG @peacenowisrael, le gouvernement israélien a approuvé en catimini mercredi 3 juillet la saisie de 1270 hectares de terres dans la vallée du Jourdain, la plus importante confiscation de terres par #Israël en territoire palestinien occupée depuis les accords d’Oslo il y a 30 ans.

Selon des documents officiels consultés par l’@AFP, ces terres ont été unilatéralement déclarées fin juin « propriété du gouvernement » par l'autorité israélienne en charge des affaires foncières dans les territoires palestiniens.

Illégale selon le droit international, la colonisation israélienne se poursuit bon an mal depuis 57 ans en Cisjordanie, quel que soit la tendance politique au gouvernement en Israël, avec désormais près de 490 000 Israéliens installés au milieu de 3 millions de Palestiniens, avec des droits supérieurs à ces derniers.

La saisie de terre par Israël et l’annonce de nouvelles constructions dans les colonies connait néanmoins un pic depuis la formation en décembre 2022 par le Premier ministre israélien Benyamin Netanyahou de son gouvernement d’extrême-droite, où les colons messianique Bezalel Smotrich (ministre des Finances) et suprémaciste Itamar Ben-Gvir (ministre de la Sécurité nationale) possèdent une influence considérable.

Ainsi, depuis le début de l'année 2024, pas moins de 23,7 km 2 de terres palestiniennes ont été officiellement saisies en Cisjordanie par le gouvernement israélien.
