🇿🇼 ZIMBABWE DRONE LAWS – LICENSING TIERS

Drone operations in Zimbabwe follow a tiered licensing system under CAAZ:

1. VLOS (Visual Line of Sight) – Entry-level. Keep drone within 500m & maintain direct visual contact.

2. E-VLOS (Extended VLOS) – Fly up to 1,000m with a trained observer alongside you.

3. B-VLOS (Beyond VLOS) – For high-tech drones with multispectral sensors. Longer flights but NOT for commercial use.

4. ROC (Remote Operator Certificate) – Required if you plan to monetize your drone services.

5. Air Service Permit – Top-tier. Full commercial ops, including aerial photography & filming.

Each tier requires more rigorous training and equipment standards. Violations = hefty fines + equipment confiscation.
