If you really think naruto's main theme is political then you are dumb and should shut up. This is a political ending vs an emotional one. This is a plot driven story vs a character driven story
It's very clear to me that the point of naruto as a story isn't revolution vs reformism but soulmatism. It focuses on character development rather than worldbuilding and thus reaches an emotional conclusion. If you want political commentary you can go watch aot
he said if i cant marry him ill make him my partner in every other capacity. even come up w a whole new title so he can b by my side officially n share my dream w me. despite the fact that an advisor to the hokage already exists. bc an advisor isnt a complement, but a subordinate
@TheTeIe Yup totally he is indeed a reformist, my point isn't that he's not but rather that i don't really care about the politics of a series that doesn't really focus on it as a main theme, as opposed to, say, aot or even asoiaf
@ShyrenMoon Nooo no need to say sorry you're making a compelling case, i've come across it a few times but never decided to give it a go before your rec so!!! I'll let you know how it goes
@browsingroses So true and it's all on them they just had to pay attention to what was unfolding before their eyes (sasuke sacrificing himself for naruto, looking longingly at him spiderman style b4 fleeing konoha, the series not ending after naruto gained the village's recognition...)
@narusasuologist like the series didn't end with naruto reforming the shinobi system or bringing justice and peace to the inner clans but with narusasu's reconcilation. sorry yall were duped but this is genuinely just an elaborate world-ending romance at the end of the day
