We used to be enemies.
Now Japan sends us cars that last 300,000 miles and we send them country music and beef.
History’s wild. The friendship’s better.
Turns out my hunch was right, magazines #WARDOGS affect ADS time, recoil and accuracy.
@WARDOGS please show these modifiers in UI, this would make gun builds much clearer
Wardogs is really just an RTS.
I was working through a video idea for Wardogs, analyzing all the various complaints people have about one thing or another being too powerful, I wanted to compile the various ways to counter or defeat them.
For example, humvees. Powerful now, but still manageable with knowledge and coordination. They are already as fragile as a Kodiak when you have MAWWS players running around.
This is everything in the game, and realizing it, the thought hit me.
Wardogs is an RTS. We are just playing as individual units in a FPS viewpoint.
From personal experience I see it like Age of Empires or Warcraft III.
Archers counter infantry, slingers counter archers, cavalry countered slingers, specialized infantry (pikeman) counter cavalry.
In wardogs: mortars counter drill spam, Arty trucks counter mortar FOBs, drones counter arty trucks.
But every single one of these has multiple counters. FOBs can be countered with strike teams, rocket helis, or poket fobs with mortars.
Arty trucks can be countered by a single determined player with a transport heli and some C4.
At the end of the day, we as players are choosing if we wanna be a standard combat unit, a counter unit, or even a peon saying "works done" after every hesco block we build.
Each day I find myself running more and more absurd kits just for fun cause of the Sandbox nature of the game.
It doesn't matter where in the progress tree I am or another player is, there are enough tools for anyone to counter anyone else.
So keep that in mind the next time you get frustrated by mortar spam, a humvee, or a rocket heli.
Instead of saying "this is too powerful, it needs a nerf", ask yourself what tools are already in the game to make you a pikeman against cavalry.
