If Allāh dislikes a person…
Ibn al-Jawzi says:
If Allāh dislikes a person, He leaves him constantly stumbling and confused in every situation. He does not grant him the aspiration to seek lofty goals, instead he is occupied with vile matters instead of virtuous. And if he asks, ‘Why have I been singled out for this?!’ the reply comes…
A reply that cannot be contested:
‘It is because of what your own hands have earned.’ (Sūrah al-Shūrah, 30)
(صيد الخاطر، فصل: اعملوا فكل ميسر لما خلق له)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
The best Dua is the Dua on the day of Arafah, and the best thing that I and the Prophets before me have said is:
None has the right to be worshipped except Allāh alone, having no partners, and to Him belongs the Dominion and all Praise and He is able to do all things.

“I keep sinning, so what should I do?”
Advice of Imām Ibn Baz
Look at the wisdom and compassion of this noble scholar.
His answer comprised of both an encouragement and a warning.
Remember, part of repentance is remorse, and publicizing disobedience totally opposes this.
Many a time it is safer for the Muslim to leave off some of the permissible affairs in order to safeguard their religion!
The great Imām 'Umar ibn 'Abdul-'Azīz advised: "If you are able to place a barrier between you and that which Allāh has made harām for you by leaving off something of that which Allāh has made halāl for you then do so! For indeed whomsoever tries to perform everything that is halāl then eventually his soul will yearn for the harām!" (Al-Bayān wa At-Tabyīn of Al-Jāhidh).
The Muslim - and in particular the Salafi student of knowledge, and even more so those from them who use social media to propagate Islām - should not use the argument "but is it harām?!" to chase a life imitating celebrities, a life of frivolity, glamour, glitz, chasing brands and unislamic fashion trends, posting riches, posing with wealth and then mixing this in with "Allāh said, the Messenger said and the Salaf said".
This is not the way of the Prophets, nor the Companions, nor those who follow them in goodness.
Shaykh ibn 'Uthaymīn mentioned that even the Messenger of Allāh would remind himself of the lowliness of the dunyah whenever he saw something of the glitter of the dunyah by saying "Here I am Oh Allāh (in your obedience), indeed the true life is the life of the hereafter!" (Sharh Al-Mumti').
Allāh says: "Indeed, in the Messenger of Allāh you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for (the meeting with) Allāh and the Last Day, and remembers Allāh much." [Surah Al-Aḥzāb: 21]
The true role models for the Muslim today - and especially for the men and women of Sunnah and Salafiyyah - should be the inheritors of the Prophets, the Scholars and the people of knowledge, the people of Qur`ān; they are the people of abstention from worldly glamour and the frivolous trends of the dunyah, they are people of piety and worship, people of the Masājid, people of humility and praiseworthy shyness. Those that merely seeing them and hearing them speak reminds you of Allāh and the hereafter - may Allāh preserve them for us.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Guarantee for me six and I will guarantee for you Jannah:
1. Be truthful when you speak.
2. Do what you promise.
3. Fulfil your trusts.
4. Save yourselves from fornication.
5. Lower your gazes.
6. Withhold your hands [from striking].”
(As-Sahīhah, no. 1470)
May Allah, the Most Merciful, grant safety and ease to our brothers and sisters in Syria.
O Allah, protect them from harm, relieve their suffering, and replace their hardship with peace and prosperity.
Unite their hearts upon the truth and guide them to what pleases You.
Lying is an ugly characteristic to have. The pupils at Markaz Muaadh learning that this dispicable trait is shared amongst the lowliest of people. Be truthful Allaah will raise you.
They executed our brother Marcellus. May Allah have mercy on him and grant him Paradise.
Shaykh Anwar (@anwarphilly) and I spoke with him earlier, and he left a brief message, which we will share shortly, Insha Allah.
One thing he said was: “I say what the Prophet ﷺ would say when he disliked something: ‘All praise belongs to Allah in all situations!’”
Justice will be established for him and all the creation on the Day we stand before Allah.
The Imprisonments of Ibn Taymīyah:
A Life of Patience in Defense of the Way of the Salaf
Shaykh al-Islam was imprisoned 7 times and eventually died in prison.
On several occasions, his imprisonment was instigated by the people of innovation and misguidance.
Umm Salamah said to her husband:
Come, let us promise one another that you will not marry after me and I will not marry after you.
Abu Salamah: Will you obey me?
Umm Salamah: Yes…
Abu Salamah: If I die, get married. O’ Allāh grant Umm Salamah a better man than me, after me, who does not upset her or harm her.
After Abu Salamah passed away, she married the Prophet ﷺ.
