I don’t think people realize just how pro-Russia the AfD actually is, so here’s a non-comprehensive list:

- The AfD has consistently opposed sanctions against Russia and German military aid to Ukraine.
- AfD politicians have blamed the US and NATO for Russia’s invasion, with party leader Tino Chrupalla claiming that the US “provoked Russia.”
- In 2022, five AfD politicians planned a trip to Russian-occupied Donetsk and Luhansk. The trip was cancelled after public outrage.
- AfD politician Steffen Kotré appeared on Vladimir Solovyov’s Kremlin propaganda show, arguing against German military aid to Ukraine.
- AfD politicians participated alongside Sahra Wagenknecht’s movement in “anti-war” protests calling for an end to sanctions, an end to military aid to Ukraine and restored relations with Russia. Leaked documents later revealed that building such an “anti-war coalition” in Germany was one of the Kremlin’s goals.
- Russian documents described AfD politician Markus Frohnmaier as an “absolutely controlled MP” and discussed providing him with “material and media support.”
- A joint investigation by The Insider and Der Spiegel revealed that AfD parliamentary aide Vladimir Sergienko worked with an FSB officer to try to stop or delay German weapons deliveries to Ukraine. Sergienko also funneled Russian money and instructions to AfD politicians for a lawsuit against the German government over weapons deliveries to Ukraine.
- AfD politicians have repeatedly travelled to Russia, including trips to Moscow and Kaliningrad.
- Hans-Thomas Tillschneider declared after Russia’s full-scale invasion that “Russia is defending itself!”
- Tillschneider has written columns for the Russian newspaper Vedomosti, attended conferences in Moscow, congratulated Putin on his sham 2024 election victory and celebrated Putin’s birthday at the Russian Embassy in Berlin.
- Tillschneider also helped shape the AfD’s 2026 Saxony-Anhalt programme, which calls for ending sanctions against Russia, restoring Nord Stream, expanding Russian-language teaching in German schools and reviving student exchanges with Russia.
- AfD politician Tim Schramm volunteered to fight for Ukraine against Russia. The AfD’s NRW leadership responded by launching proceedings to expel him from the party.
- AfD politician Jörg Dornau co-owns an agricultural company in Belarus that used prisoners, particularly political prisoners, as forced labor. The EU later sanctioned the company over its use of forced labor.
- Chechnya-born AfD member Noah Krieger, originally named Murad Dadaev, travelled to Chechnya, attended parliament with Ramzan Kadyrov, met regime figures and took part in Kalashnikov training. Months later, he appeared in Russian-occupied Ukraine alongside Chechen Akhmat fighters, carrying a weapon and declaring: “I am in Ukraine and stand for Russia.”

During the September 4 attack on Sochi, a Russian air defense position was hit, destroying two S-300 launchers and a Pantsir system mounted on an anti-drone tower.

Earlier footage from the strike showed a major secondary detonation, caused by burning missile propellant at the air defense site.

🇺🇦 Europe must stop being afraid of Russia’s hybrid war

Russia is trying to turn fear into a weapon.
Sabotage. Cyberattacks. Disinformation. Drones. Threats. Attempts to intimidate European governments and societies.

And the purpose is clear: make Europe hesitate to help Ukraine.

That is precisely why Europe must do the opposite.

Russia’s hybrid campaign is not an argument for giving Ukraine less. It is an argument for giving Ukraine more.

The faster Ukraine receives the weapons, ammunition, air defence, missiles, drones, intelligence and other capabilities it needs, the faster Ukraine can destroy Russia’s ability to wage this war.

And the faster Russia loses its ability to continue the war, the safer Europe becomes.

This is not only about Ukraine anymore.
On September 1, EU foreign-policy chief Kaja Kallas warned that Russia is conducting increasingly kinetic hybrid attacks against Europe and explicitly said Moscow wants to scare Europeans away from supporting Ukraine.

The EU itself has also identified Russia’s hybrid campaigns as a security threat, including sabotage, cyberattacks, election interference and information manipulation.

And Europe is already moving.

On August 24, the European Commission approved another €6.1 billion for Ukrainian defence procurement, including air and missile defence, missiles, ammunition and radars.

But the question is not whether Europe is doing something.
The question is whether Europe is doing enough, fast enough.
Ukraine is asking for the means to win.

Give them.

More air defence.
More ammunition.
More drones.
More missiles.
More artillery.
More intelligence.
More training.
More industrial cooperation.

Do not let Putin decide the speed of European policy through intimidation.

Every delay gives Russia more time.

Every hesitation gives the Kremlin another opportunity to adapt.

Every weapon delivered to Ukraine helps reduce Russia’s capacity to kill Ukrainians and threaten Europe.

The strategic choice should therefore be brutally simple:

Help Ukraine win faster.

Not because Europe wants a longer war.

Because Europe wants the war to end.

A Russian defeat in Ukraine is not a threat to European security.

It is one of the strongest investments Europe can make in European security.

Let Russia understand that hybrid warfare will not make Europe surrender.

The road to peace runs through strength, not fear.

The 425th Assault Regiment “Skelia” @Skelya425 has transitioned under the operational command of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine.

In August, several battalions from Skelia were redeployed to the First Corps Azov’s area of operations, where they successfully completed assigned combat missions to clear enemy infiltrators from the brigades’ areas of defense.

The unit has demonstrated improved command discipline and minimized losses during combat missions. Work is currently underway to redeploy and consolidate the regiment’s dispersed forces within a single frontline sector.

The combat history of the Skelia Regiment is marked by many outstanding achievements. Its fighters have repeatedly demonstrated courage and resilience, successfully completing extremely challenging missions during offensive and defensive operations in some of the most difficult sectors.

Azov’s culture places a strong emphasis on personnel training and maintaining a high level of motivation among its fighters. The Azov Corps will take every possible step to share its experience with Skelia’s commanders and fighters and to instill our values and principles that will enable the regiment to continue carrying out its assigned tasks effectively while protecting the lives and health of its personnel.

This is what they mean by "pro-peace": support for Russia's genocidal invasion of Ukraine and wider war against all of Europe, including Germany.

The AfD is a strongly pro-Putin party of vatnik traitors that includes Nazi sympathizers as well.

🚢 The crew of the BREADFAN bulk carrier, IMO 9626936, films a Ukrainian drone attack on the vessel near Novorossiysk in early August.

The footage also shows Russia deploying military aviation in an attempt to defend the ship, with a Su-27 or Su-35 engaging the incoming drones. The video quality is not sufficient to identify the aircraft with certainty.
