Good morning and Happy Monday to everyone who agrees that it's NOT far left to want universal healthcare, or to be able to afford housing and food, and paid family leave. The rest of the world has it.
If America is so great, why don't WE have it?
Texas is officially the first state in the nation to mandate Bible study. I don't know who needs to hear this, but red states are closer to Sharia law than Zohran Mamdani's New York City.
Let me tell you what just got reported, because you will not believe it until you see it laid out.
The Trump administration cut a billion-dollar tungsten deal with Kazakhstan. Tungsten is the metal we need for missile warheads, fighter jets, and computer chips. Trump himself got on the phone to close it. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick worked it from the inside, sending letters, leaning on the Kazakh president, lining up as much as $1.6 billion in federal financing.
Within weeks of those negotiations, investors tied to a firm partly owned by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump took a 20% stake in an entity connected to the very same Kazakhstan project their father was negotiating. Around that same time, Cantor Fitzgerald, the firm run by Lutnick’s own sons, raised $210 million for a partner in the deal and pocketed the fees.
The fathers set the policy. The sons cashed in.
Six days after the Trump sons and their partners moved their money, Lutnick signed the final deal.
The reporting found one or both families have financial ties to at least 14 companies working with the government on critical mining deals.
The total federal funding flowing toward those companies tops $8.9 billion.
This is your tax money.
It is supposed to secure our supply chains and protect our troops, not pad the portfolios of the President’s children and the Commerce Secretary’s children.
This is the most corrupt administration in American history. It is not close.
We must keep digging, and keep asking the questions they do not want asked. Republicans in Congress are unwilling to lift a finger. Mike Johnson is running a protection racket.
Either we will end the corruption, or the corruption will be the end of us.

Few of us have access to full information on how Trump lost the Iran War. But we can all see the fiasco Trump has made of the 250th anniversary celebrations. Watching Trump fail at something easy helps illustrate why he was doomed to mess up anything difficult.
Maybe Vance doesn't know this history because it's in one of the books his administration banned.
The difference between Watergate and now is that back then, Republicans actually did something about a law-breaking president. Today, they only roll over for their cult leader.
I'm going to KEEP talking about how Florida Senator Rick Scott, the RICHEST man in all of Congress DEFRAUDED Medicare & is trying to CUT Social Security.
Will you join me?🤚
Sometimes you have to back up a little bit and think about what things really mean: The top priority of the Trump-led Republican Party is to keep Democrats from voting. That’s their most important policy position right now.
My Latest: When we accept that the president lies, we cheapen the value of truth. When we accept his attacks on Democratic leaders and opposition figures, we destigmatize and thus enable the weaponization of government. https://t.co/6zrUxYKkUv
There was a rule when I was in Trump's first term: if a memo had a staple in it, it was too long for him to read.
Life-or-death decisions were cut to one page. Or a half-page. Or less. Bold fonts. BIG pictures.
When you’re wondering why everything’s a mess, remember that.
Let me be really clear about what just happened.
The head of the U.S. Postal Service sat in front of the United States Senate and said the quiet part loud: no voter list, no mail ballots. Full stop.
You don’t get to look away from this one.
This is a proposed rule. It’s being fought in court. But the fact that it was said — that a federal official openly threatened to withhold your ballot — that matters.
Your vote is yours. Not the administration’s. Not USPS’s. Yours.
Stay informed. Stay loud.
I just sent this out to Democracy Docket premium members, but in light of the Postmasters comments this morning threatening voting by mail, I felt it is urgent to post it online for everyone.
Please read and share. https://t.co/Lx5IjgeOnk
Today is the anniversary of the day SCOTUS cost women the right to make choices about their bodies for themselves & I have not forgotten. When I vote, the most important issue I consider is which candidate will protect me and my daughter from becoming second class citizens.
Four months later and Jared Kushner *still* hasn't filed his legally required public financial disclosures or divested from any conflicting assests.
How can the public trust that he is working in their best interest?

Trump has turned the White House into a 24/7 corruption operation. This is a national crisis.
Trump thinks the public will stop paying attention.
So I went to the Senate floor to call his bluff. I told the ENTIRE STORY of his 500 days of corruption.
1/ Here it is - in one🧵
Trump is trying to shift the decision about who gets to vote from the states to his administration, using benign sounding administrative procedures, and an executive order that few people are paying attention to. There’s nothing more important to be aware of right now than this. Details here: https://t.co/8dvrOO8Zy6
Donald Trump took us to war without a plan. Families have lost loved ones. Billions of dollars have been spent. For what? This “deal” he signed leaves Iran stronger and in control of the Strait, but does little to advance US interests. The “master deal maker” just made one of the worst deals in US history. This is a total capitulation! What’s next, the Russians get Alaska?
With $300 billion, we could end homelessness, fund cancer research for 40 years, and give every child free pre-K for over 7 years. Instead, Trump is sending it to Iran. This is not America First. Not even close.
