The Innovation Hub, Manipur Science Centre successfully conducted a 2-day Fun Workshop on 21st & 22nd April 2025 at Takyelpat, sparking curiosity and scientific thinking among young minds.
Students explored the magic of chemistry, performed hands-on experiments and discovered the fun side of science - all while gaining insight into the real-world applications of scientific principles in our daily lives.

A High-Level Consultative Meeting on the Barak River Basin Management Plan and India-EU Collaboration was successfully held on 25th April 2025 at the Manipur Secretariat, Imphal.
Chaired by Shri Prashant Kumar Singh, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur and graced by Dr. Ranbir Singh, IAS, Chairman of the Brahmaputra Board, Ministry of Jal Shakti, the meeting brought together key administrative leaders, experts and stakeholders.
Discussions focused on:
• Integrated & sustainable management of the Barak River Basin.
• Strengthening India-EU cooperation in water resource governance.
• Sharing regional perspectives and technical know-how.
• Enhancing inter-departmental coordination for long-term planning.

Highlights from the opening day of the 31st Governor’s Cup Invitation Polo Tournament and the 20th Governor’s Cup Women’s Polo Tournament, held at the historic Imphal Polo Ground (Mapal Kangjeibung).
Organised by the Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association, the tournament will culminate on April 18, 2025.
The Invitation Tournament features eight teams: MPSC Polo Team - A, MPSC Polo Team - B, Tentha Polo Club, Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club, Black Watch Polo Club, AR Polo Team - A, X-Polo Club and Chingkheihunba Polo Club.
Meanwhile, four teams are competing in the Women’s Tournament: AR Women's Polo Team, Imphal Riding Club, MPSC Women's Polo Team and Ibudhou Pakhangba Polo Club.
Tournaments like these have been instrumental in keeping alive the sport that has been traditionally played in Manipur since time immemorial — a sport acknowledged to have originated in the state.
