The discovery of four bodies on Jeju Island in three days stems from police corruption and systemic failure. Korean police precincts face intense pressure to show high case clearance rates, creating clear moral hazard where corrupt officers falsify paper records to meet quotas rather than conduct actual field investigations

The first-order effect of this institutional failure is a complete breakdown of public safety and a surge in uninvestigated homicides across the region. When police actively conceal missing persons to pad administrative stats, violent criminals receive free immunity to continue operating without fear of detection

The second-order effect hits the regional economy, threatening major hospitality and travel stocks like $LOTE (Lotte Tour Development), $083540 (Paradise Co), and $035250 (Kangwon Land). Institutional capital will quickly discount Jeju-exposed leisure assets as safety concerns drive away domestic tourists and foreign visitors

Penduduk PPR Bimbang Kehadiran Hampir 20 Ekor Anjing Liar

Seorang penduduk meluahkan kebimbangan terhadap kehadiran sekumpulan anjing liar di kawasan PPR yang didakwa semakin bertambah dan boleh mengancam keselamatan penduduk, terutama kanak-kanak.

Menurutnya, terdapat 13 ekor anjing liar berkeliaran di kawasan berkenaan seperti yang dirakam dalam video, sebelum enam ekor anak anjing dilahirkan baru-baru ini, menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan mencecah 19 ekor.

Beliau menegaskan isu ini bukan berkaitan agama atau halal haram, sebaliknya melibatkan aspek keselamatan awam kerana terdapat risiko serangan serta jangkitan rabies sekiranya berlaku gigitan.

Penduduk turut berharap pihak berkuasa berkaitan dapat mengambil tindakan sewajarnya, selain mengajak mana-mana pencinta haiwan yang berkemampuan untuk membantu menyelamatkan dan memelihara anjing-anjing liar tersebut.

If you’re really concerned about stray animals, join the catch-neuter-release groups. Group macam ni tak ramai pun and they actually hate people who feed strays without joining them.

Otherwise I see this as a way to guilt trip Malays, nak bash melayu.
