Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji, has approved the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for Rabi crops for the 2026–27 marketing season.

The sharpest increase has been accorded to safflower, with a rise of ₹600 per quintal, followed by lentil (masur) at ₹300 per quintal. For rapeseed and mustard, gram, barley, and wheat, the MSP has been raised by ₹250, ₹225, ₹170, and ₹160 per quintal respectively.

This increase in MSP will ensure remunerative returns to farmers, strengthen their income security, encourage crop diversification, and support sustainable agricultural growth across the country.
