After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.

I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.

I was removed from the Religious Liberty commission because I refused to stop talking about innocent lives that were being killed at the hands of the Israeli government. Innocent lives like sweet Hind Rajab💔

I refused to accept the lie that the modern state of Israel founded in 1948 is a fulfillment of biblical prophecy. Heretical Zionism has twisted Scripture into a political ideology used to justify endless war and the killing of innocent life.

Jesus Christ would never justify the killing of innocent human beings. The Gospel commands us to defend the innocent and to stand with those who suffer. I could not remain silent while innocent men, women, and children were being killed. I had a duty to speak for those who could not speak for themselves.

I am a follower of Christ, it is my duty to speak. It is the least I can do. I never thought I’d be punished for it.
