#HumanRights#BahaiRights
#Peyvand_Naeimi is a 30-year-old Bahá'í citizen, a swimming and water polo champion, dog trainer and behaviourist from Kerman. Peyvand was arrested on January 8 and was shown on state TV giving forced confessions. He faces imminent danger after enduring two mock hangings, prolonged torture and interrogation, as Iranian authorities attempt to force him to confess to crimes he did not commit. Mock executions are severe forms of mental torture and are banned under international law. Peyvand was arrested on 8 January on false charges of instigating unrest during the January protests and was taken to an IRGC detention centre—known for its torture and mistreatment of detainees. #StopExecutionsInIran

The fact that the Taliban reportedly plans to publicly flog women for appearing without a face veil should horrify every person who believes in human dignity and freedom.
Imagine living in a society where a woman can be beaten in public simply for showing her face.
This is not culture. It is not tradition. It is not morality. It is state-sponsored oppression.
While the world debates politics and wars, Afghan women continue to lose their most basic rights: the right to education, the right to work, the right to move freely, the right to participate in public life, and now even the right to show their faces without fear of punishment.
Where is the outrage? Where are the emergency meetings, the headlines, the diplomatic pressure, and the sustained international attention?
The women of Afghanistan are among the bravest people in the world. They have continued to resist despite arrests, intimidation, violence, and isolation. They should not have to fight this battle alone.
History will remember not only those who carried out these abuses, but also those who watched in silence.

I stand with the brave women of Afghanistan who face guns, bullets, beatings and arrest, simply for saying no to forced hijab.
I tried to cover my face. I couldn't breathe behind that piece of cloth for even a few seconds. A total humiliation. And the Taliban is demanding Afghan women wear it for a lifetime.
To every Western politician who calls the burqa Afghan "culture" you’re better listen to Women, Afghanistan, and Iran, who lived under Islamic regimes. You're sitting in a parliament in a free country, with a salary and a vote and a podium calling this culture. This is a total betrayal to us who are wounded but unbowed to our oppressors.
Stop legitimizing Taliban. Be the voice of women of Afghanistan. Who wants to end this Apartheid regime.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Marjane Satrapi, the acclaimed Franco-Iranian artist, filmmaker, and author of the internationally celebrated graphic novel Persepolis who died at the age of 56.
Marjane Satrapi was a fearless voice for feminism, human rights, and freedom. Through her work and public engagement, she consistently advocated for women’s rights, standing in solidarity with the people of Iran and amplifying the message of the Woman, Life, Freedom movement on the global stage.
According to a statement from her family, Marjane Satrapi “died of sadness” a little more than a year after the passing of her husband, Mattias Ripa, a producer, actor, and screenwriter, who died on April 8, 2025.
Marjane Satrapi leaves behind a powerful cultural, artistic, and moral legacy. Her courage will continue to resonate far beyond her lifetime.

Few things are more tragic than a government that systematically drives away or silences its own talent. 🚨 Iran: Political prisoner Zahra Tabari has been sentenced to death AGAIN by the regime’s Revolutionary Court solely for alleged affiliation with the PMOI/MEK.
The 68-year-old engineer was first sentenced to death in November 2025 by Judge Ahmad Darvish-Goftar after a sham 10-minute trial conducted by video conference without a lawyer of her choice. Following international outrage, the case was sent for retrial—only for Judge Mohammad Ali Darvish-Goftar, Ahmad Darvish-Goftar’s son, to reimpose the death sentence on the same charges. @drmaisato

Sara Sepehri, a Bahá’í citizen residing in Shiraz, remains in Adelabad Prison in that city in a state of uncertainty more than one month after her arrest.

Baha’i Photographer Navid Zarrehbin Irani Held Without Resolution for Over Four Months in Mashhad
It was learned on 19 May 2026 that Mr. Navid Zarrehbin Irani, a Baha’i photographer and resident of Mashhad, remains in detention without charge at Vakilabad Prison more than four months after his arrest, with no progress in his legal case.
Mr. Zarrehbin Irani was arrested on 16 January 2026, by security forces in connection with the January 2026 protests in Mashhad, during a broader wave of arrests targeting Baha’is across Iran.
During a recent prison visit, family members observed that Mr. Zarrehbin Irani appeared significantly older and had lost a considerable amount of weight during his detention.
Authorities denied him access to a lawyer of his own choosing, forcing the family to accept a court-appointed attorney approved by the government.
Neither the family nor the lawyer has been granted access to his case file, and they remain unaware of the accusations against him. Authorities have also transferred him, without explanation, to a ward housing prisoners sentenced to death, increasing concerns about his condition and treatment.
While held in Vakilabad Prison, Mr. Zarrehbin Irani has been subjected to severe psychological pressure, including a mock execution and forms of “white torture,” involving psychological abuse intended to create the belief that his execution is imminent.
Despite the passage of more than four months since his arrest, he continues to be held in a state of legal uncertainty. Since his transfer to Vakilabad Prison, authorities have provided no information regarding the charges against him or the status of his case.
